I love your tree and that you keep it up all year. I still have live Christmas trees and every year say I am going to get an artificial one. I am still finding pine needles in the spring.

I reluctantly bought a fake lit tree a couple years ago. I cannot tell you how happy I am with it now. Takes 2 minutes to set up and it's perfect - no watering, no needles and no fire hazard!

I worry about the fire hazard too and have all battery operated lights. I have a friend who likes to buy a live tree and put it up in my house as his Christmas present to me. It is difficult to tell him I really don't want a live tree anymore. Sometimes I will just put up with the mess rather than hurt someone's feelings.

Good morning everyone. Every time we get the house ready for company we swear we'll never do it again. But if we didnt we'd probably never do a really deep clean. I might be OK with that.

Food shopping for a cookout today. This will be the first time in 7 months I will have bought burgers, dogs, rolls and chips at the supermarket. So if you know someone in one of those industries who has been laid off, tell them I apologize.

There had been three weeks in a row where diet soda was not on sale. Three weeks. In a row. My stockpile disappeared. I had to pay full price for a week. Like a chump. So when it went on sale last week I bought 100 2-liter bottles. I'm still a little insecure though.

QOTD: I don't come up with mnemonics to recall things. I find it just makes two things to remember instead of one. I guess my mind just doesn't work that way. I also don't use lists. It makes me wonder if there is a Venn diagram of mnemonics, list making, etc.

May I ask, how many days/weeks/months will 100 2-liter bottles last you?

I have a similar stockpile of cold brew coffee. Sheer terror it will be out of stock! Once I had maybe 10 in my cart, and the shelf stocker looked at me and said, drily, "You don't like that coffee AT. ALL."

When Starbucks cold brew coffee concentrate goes on sale I stockpile. The sale price I look for is around $6 vs. the usual price of $12. Right now I can get it for around $8.99 which is still a good buy.

I go through 3 to 4 liters a day, plus whatever ice melts in my Big Giant Mug.

I was going through the checkout about a year or so back, and had 30 bottles, 2 packs of burgers, 2 of hot dogs, and a bunch of cheese. The cashier said "Someone's got a big cookout this weekend." And the bagger said "No, that's what he always gets."
