Good Monday Morning Everyone! Hope you are all ready for a great week :) I sure am. I plan to make my very last few tweaks to my thesis and turn it in today. EEEEEEE! And then we are going to celebrate with a nice lunch out by the ocean! Other than that. maybe a quick trip to Trader Joe's and some stuff around the house.

QOTD: Would you rather fight one horse-sized duck or a hundred duck-sized horses? (Credit to Grim for this one.) I am going with one big duck because duck sized horses are basically cats, and I know I can't even fight 2 of those. But they'd be cuter!

Accountability: Nothing terrible but yesterday I was hungry all day and I grazed more than I should have.

B: protein coffee

S: Chomps Meat Stick

L: tbd - hopefully a lobster roll!

D: veggie burger

Good mornin! QJB, congrats on the thesis! That is something to be so proud of and you've worked so hard to achieve it! Yay!

Not a lot going on here today. We have to pick up the kids from school but that's the only thing set in stone.

One of the meds I'm on is causing pretty bad itching during the night. I've got no clue which one either. My suspicion though is the muscle relaxer. It's one I take at night so there are other possibilities. Shrug...I need them all so i'm unsure of what to do. I've got Benadryl for when it gets bad. My body is a high speed train wreck for sure.

QOTD: the big one lol

food is just so weird for me lately. Terribly unplanned for today. I did have oatmeal for breakfast. Coffee and lots of it.

Muscle relaxants can cause itching plus dry mouth. And even nausea. Benadryl can help but antihistamines are not good for the brain so I'm trying to limit that.

Yeah, I hate taking Benadryl.

Good morning QJB, congratulations on turning in your final work early!! Do you have to defend your thesis with orals or anything like that? I hope you take a bit of time before diving into whatever comes next.

QOTD - oh, the question that my member of congress (at the time) thought was so important he asked it in a confirmation hearing...instead of something actually germane to being a good Supreme Court justice. Horse sized duck, you could treat it like a small dragon; 100 duck sized horses could overwhelm you and stomp on you with their hooves.

I went and saw Oppenheimer yesterday. 1) those people that are saying "it doesn't feel like 3 hours" are nuts; 2) I gave up on distinguishing one bland middle aged white guy from another middle aged white guy; 3) it's really quite a good movie and do recommend (but could have been about 2 hours without some of Nolan's moody scenery and pacing. I skipped the popcorn because I had visited a bakery on Saturday so I had a piece of lime-lemon-blackberry sponge cake waiting for me for after Sunday dinner. Indulgent but worth it.

Today I didn't think I would get up in time to get in a workout but I managed to sneak in a quick row since I woke up earlier than expected, now headed to the office and then dinner with some girlfriends tonight.

Thankfully, no. Once it's turned in, it's done :) The only step left is for me to refresh the grade page like a maniac 500 times an hour for the next 2 weeks, lol. Then I get my diploma in the mail at some point. Not a big exciting finish, but what are you gonna do? I think a lobster roll is all the excitement I need.

I am impressed that you did a 3 hour movie without popcorn! I could never!

Good morning all. Friday and Saturday were pretty busy -- yesterday was totally lazy.

QOTD: I saw that question on some TV show or movie, but couldn't remember where. So I googled it. Apparently is a big thing. Some senator actually asked it of Neil Gorsuch in his nomination hearings. Bill Murray seems to have the best answer though. Me? I'd rather fight the one horse-sized duck.

Friday and Saturday were bending and tacking days. I did about 50 boxes in all. After the wooden strips are cut, thicknessed, and carved, they go in boiling water until they're like spaghetti. Then they're bent around a form, tacked, and shapers are put in until they dry. Then tops and bottoms are fit.
