Love the new 'do! Super cute :) I would love to go super short but I have so much hair that I tend to look like a puffy topiary when it's any shorter than my chin!

Good morning everyone. Fall is coming. Starbucks starts their pumpkin spice lattes today, and it's 55 degrees out still. We've got an exciting trip to the lumberyard!
QOTD: After the question a few days ago, I started reading Robinson Crusoe again. I've read it many times. I'll follow it up with his sequel, "Farther Adventures," which I think I've only read twice. I just finished the first three books of Pierce Brown's Rising series.
Before that, I read Adam Hochschild's "American Midnight," which is a great historical work. It was about the abuses of power by the right during and after World War One. We have that kind of repression every 50 years or so. McCarthyism came next, and we are living through the current iteration. I hope I live long enough to see the pendulum swing back.
Since we're doing Muppet Memes:

yea - I've been hoping I'll live long enough to see the other side of the current political situation as well. If I could I'd move to Europe - but then, it'**** some of those countries as well. When I start getting too upset about it I keep reminding myself that I can't really do anything about it, so there's no use making myself sick over it. But still...

I'm 42 and I hope I live to see it pass too. It scares the crap out of me. It's a cult like thing now. Reminds me so much of a past Italian dictator. History is important but these people just want to blame all of their problems on someone else...like illegals immigrants (though I hate that term). Or "wokeness". Another term that has been weaponized. People have already died due to this crap and I fear more will sue to the hate the right cultivates.
