My nephew had those speakers on his car where you can hear him blasting his music a block away. I told him that in my day we did not do that...because they had not invented those speakers yet. We made a lot of noise with the speakers we had.

someone complained once on our neighborhood Facebook page about kids driving through the neighborhood blasting their rap music out of their car windows. I wrote in the comment section that when I was teen, I used to drive through our family's neighborhood blasting Led Zeppelin out of the car windows. A few other neighbors agreed (or at least "liked" my comment). Kids will be kids..

Not quite the same but a few years ago, one of my neighbors complained about "kids" doing donuts in the snow in an empty parking lot behind where I lived. It was me. I was 34.

It's fascinating that you can't do a one way rental from vegas. I would love to know what type of chaos went into that decision. Glad you are home safe!

It's only CA apparently. If they allowed the one ways, they would have no cars left in Vegas and have to go get them back which is $$$$ so they just stopped allowing it to happen. Avis will do it for an extra fee, but not to my area.

Another fun fact - the car I rented actually had CA plates.

Good morning. The sun is out and my mountain "summit" is calling. Heading there as soon as I finish this. Yesterday was all around pretty good with exercise and food. I did eat a fried chicken breast for lunch. I counted the whole thing, and it really pushed my calories up for the day. Because of that, I didn't get to have a treat last night, and boy was I hating my life.

We did get most the groceries yesterday and the fridge is full. I need to stop at the butcher's on my way back from my walk/stair work out this morning and then I am set for a while. Also need to do laundry (my work out clothes, Rog does all the rest) and pick up the yard. Not much exciting happening over here.

QoTD: Married at 18 -- Rog and I rented an apartment in a huge compound. It was pretty tiny, but we thought we were all that and a bag of chips. But it was adult only and I had Ryan at 19, so we had to move.

Menu today

B: 40 calorie slice of toast with 1 tbsp Unexpected cheddar and 2-3 ounces deli turkey meat

L: 1 chicken, caramelized onion and cheddar burger from a pack from Costco. I don't recommend these. Essentially flavorless. I should eat some more beets too

D: Roasted chicken, tomatoes, chickpeas, red onion and feta with a honey drizzle. Drooling about this already.

Peace Everybody!

Good morning!

QOTD: First apartment was a studio I rented at 17 for $150 furnished whi*****luded all utilities including cable. My mother had to sign the lease. $150 was pricey but it was in a very good neighborhood and a mile from the beach, mom would not let me live anywhere sketchy.

I haven't posted in a few months, but not much is new. Still fighting my very low white blood cell counts, which means I am going to have to give up my immune suppressing treatment for my multiple autoimmune diseases. So increased pain. But unlike Melody, I do have good pain management. I am nervous as my doctor has left the practice. Although my new doctor offers medical marijuana in addition to opioids, injections, physical therapy, acupuncture etc. so I think he is very open to ALL out of the ordinary treatments for pain.

Food: Nothing planned. So far protein shake, Greek yogurt, peanuts for snack. Thinking Salmon and sweet potatoes for lunch and Soup/Salad for dinner.

Weight 116, my bmi is 19. My surgeon is okay with that saying my weight loss will stop, but that was 7 pounds ago, It is slowing/stopped now. My primary care is fine with bmi of 19 My oncologist is fine with that but his nurse practitioner is not. I see both of them together in the exam room so it is interesting to see them argue the weight issue. My rheumatologist is okay with that but not with my blood sugar measuring 51. I was having zero issues with blood sugar not dizzy, not hungry, nothing. But she gave me instructions to always have a protein or other snack bar in my purse and to eat it between meals. Pain doctor doesn't care either, but they don't weigh just self reporting on weight. I am going with whatever weight my body decides following the very good advice given here: the honeymoon period will end so enjoy this phase! I am not counting calories, just protein grams.

Good morning all and Happy Tuesday,

Late post today. What a nice day to be alive! It's supposed to be 98 tomorrow and Thursday. I will be trying to get as many errands done as possible today.

QOTD- My first apartment was a 3br house shared with two good friends. We were 17 and our rent was $200 each. It was amazing and it was definitely a constant party. One of our neighbors started a campaign to make it so uncomfortable for us to live there that we would move. We weren't giving up a $600/month house that easy...

B: Dannon Light and Fit Yogurt

L: Pulled pork.

D: Meatloaf & mushrooms

HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.
