G'morning all!

That bloated baby seal is me after the weekend's indulgences.

QJB - I can NOT wait to see the HP cookies. I'm a die hard potter head, no matter all the JKR's oddities.

So I pulled a QJB/PP night by falling asleep around 9:00 pm and waking up around 2:00 am. The problem with living with somebody else is that you can't get up and start your day. So I've been under the covers reading my book and the whole internet.

QOTD: i know this sounds weird for most Americans, but in Europe you don't move away or live outside your house unless you get married. This is true for boys and girls. You usually choose the local college, especially if it's a good one. I just happened to go to Venice for two years and that was my first experience living away from home. I rented a room in the house of a lady. It just so happened the lady passed away 3-4 months after I moved in and her daughter who at the time was in her late 20s moved back in. We became fast friends and my time in Venice was great having a big sister as my house mate. The apartment was just a typical two bedroom one bath, tiny living area and kitchen. But it was very convenient for going back and forth to classes.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • Amy's egg bites
  • Fage yogurt w/blueberries, protein pudding
  • TJ kebabs w/cauliflower rice
  • E: 5 miles wog, 1/2 hr HIIT

Happy taco Tue!

Do universities in Italy not have enormous dorms for students? I think dorms here are just big moneymakers for schools, and they are getting more and more luxurious. It's an enormously expensive part of a college education.

Not at all. If you are going away for college you are on your own to find a place to live. 95% of colleges are public and semester tuition is under $1,000. Very few, counting on one hand, have dorms and are private; for example we have La Bocconi comparable to the Wharton school here, or Scuola Normale which is comparable to MIT for super genius kids.

We got married In 1969 and moved into an apartment In a beautiful home that had been converted to apartments. Thae sweet old lady who owned it Had rules like only washing windows with vinegar. No Windex allowed Because she said it would streak.

It had big windows, Beautiful floors and woodwork And a fireplace In the living room. Rent was $75 a month and included utilities. We paid about $5 a month for the phone.

we still use a mix of white vinegar and water to wash windows. Works just as well as Windex, and much cheaper! Plus that's the way people washed windows for years!

Good morning and happy Tuesday! The best thing about Tuesday is always that it's not monday...and that it's usually when I meet with my trainer.

Busy work day today, plus my trainer, need to do a few things around the house but shouldn't be too exciting of a day. iFit has a new HIIT rowing program that I might try but that might wait for tomorrow.

Yesterday my Fitbit told me that I should not workout but should focus on resting. I compromised with just 20 minutes on the rower and a 20 minute stretch class on the reformer. It was a good mix, I should do it more often.

QOTD - I left home at 16 and moved into a small trailer. It was furnished and cheap, only 150 plus utilities. I lived there about 6 months until my mom moved out and I moved back home to help with my siblings and then left for college. My favorite of all the places I've rented was when my two best roommates and I got a tristory townhouse, we had so much fun. One of those roommates is still in my girl gang and I just had dinner with her a few weeks ago.

Menu today is

coffee plus half and half X2

Oatmeal plus blackberries

everroast deli chicken and slice cheddar on bagel thin

I didn't make the steak yesterday so I might do that.

Have a terrific Tuesday everyone!!
