LOL, yes, I think it's human nature.
That's why I was mortified, because the lady in Belize did exactly the same thing to me.

My husband repeats himself when I ask for an explanation, not necessarily language related. For example I ask a technical question that is way over my head. He explains it at his level (way over my head) and when I ask for more layman explanation he repeats himself. It drives me bonkers. Only in the last 5 years or so I started saying "you repeating yourself does not explain the problem!"

Louder and slower, even if it's a foreign language, it's understandable it I get loud and slow, right? Lol.

I have been known to go "explain it to me as if I was a first grader"...it at least gets them to use unless jargony words

That's super interesting and new info to me about English and Belize. I have a Belizean friend who has never told me this. Since they came to the US when they were 13, I just assumed that they learned English here and gradually developed the ability to speak fluent English without having an accent.

QOTD- No I worked full time all the way through college, 2 associates degrees (General Studies and Fire Protection Technology) and a bachelors degree. The associates were a waste of time, but I'm proud of the bachelors.

I had a lousy day yesterday, feeling crappy and just not with it. I think it was 107 yesterday, but I mostly stayed indoors. But it was warm when I went out to water the garden in the morning.

Today it's only supposed to be 103, the house mostly stayed cool yesterday. In the evening the coolest I could get it was 74-75 but I've been told that you can really only expect the A/C to cool 25 degrees below the ambient temperature. This thermostat has room sensors so you can identify which rooms you want to have priority. With a 2 story house it is always a balancing act.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning! Boy, I am always the late one these days. But I'm using my time to meet my goals and I'm happy to make that my priority. I had a excellent day yesterday food/water/workout wise. I also read a lot, did a bit of laundry and a few chores. Today is not much different planned. I've got my work out done (hello Mt. Helix summit and 30 flights of stairs, push ups, bench dips and squats!) and I have PT this afternoon. I will do some prep work for dinner while it still cool this morning. We are moving towards 100 degrees for a few days. Hot and sunny over here.

QoTD: No. I started having babies at 19. Not by accident. We actually intended to get pregnant and start a family. WTF where we thinking? But being on the other side now was so worth it.

Menu looks to be
B: roasted chicken breast and 1/2 slice brown bread

L: P3 and bbq pop chips

D: Creamy chipotle shrimp on cauli-rice with avo and a small salad. Maybe a half slice of Roger's cheesy garlic bread. I've been having small pouch days for a few days now and I'm hoping it keeps going!

Peace everybody!
