Ruins absolutely fascinate me. I've only been to Chichen Itza and in the jungle of Coba, MX. I saw they just found a huge new underground city in Mexico by imaging. I don't remember the name but the process is cool. A guy flies a single engine in criss-crossing flight paths blindly trying to stumble upon anything significant hidden beneath the surface. Once he does, his work is done and the excavators and archeologists move in.

We were told that's exactly how they know about the temples under ground, but lack the finances to unearth them.

Mornin' All!

they're calling for 2-4" of rain today with the potential of flash flooding. No wonder I woke up in so much pain. My arthritis pain is usually mild to non-existent, but not today. And I have an awful headache. Coffee helped a little, but I just took some Tylenol (which I rarely do). Ugh.

I need to get some exercise today, esp since I skipped yesterday. I'll do a virtual cardio class or go over to the gym before the rain gets really bad and hop on one of the bikes or seated elliptical machines. I also need to reel in the eating. I did better yesterday than I did the proceeding few days, but it still wasn't terrific. I'll do better today.

in other news, I finished my classes on Saturday and got really bored yesterday. I always seemed to be behind (with classes), so catching up was what I did when there was nothing else going on. But now? Last night I watched videos on youtube as well as season 3 of "Indian Matchmaking" on Netflix (my guilty pleasure). I've got much more productive things I COULD be doing, so I'll try to work on one of those today. With all this rain, I obviously won't be going out much today.

QOTD: I drink a lot of flavored water (still and sparkling), so there's that. I also add artificial sweetener to baked goods meant for DH and I (sugar if I'm taking it somewhere for consumption by others). I used to use Stevia or Splenda, but I've been using more monk fruit lately. It's more natural and tastes better, but it seems like it's always combined with erythitol, so it wouldn't work for those sensitive to SAs (and I am not).

B: I'm still full from yesterday, so nothing - or maybe a protein shake later on. Coffee with half & half (already had this)

MS: protein muffin or protein pancakes topped with plain skyr and fruit

L: my homemade Thai-style "bagged salad" (had this for dinner last night - i like it just as well as the bagged one I've been getting)

AS: Ratio yogurt (?)

D: I have GOT to finish up the zucchini & tomato - so that, sauted. And maybe the half fake chicken sandwich I keep putting on here but not eating

have a great day, everyone!

I have a small bottle of Tylenol that is more than half full and at least 10 years old. I took some if really bad pain from a fall or dental work. A doctor explained to me that I do not have liver problems and I need to take Tylenol when I have pain, because not taking something to calm it down makes the area get more irritated and sore.

I got a new bottle and took six tablets a day. After a few days, the back and hip pain that had been pretty chronic was gone. I am walking much better and will treat the pain as soon as it starts.

I'm kind of the same way. I'm still working on the bottle that came from a store that went out of business in 2019 - so it's at least four years old! I should probably take it when I'm hurting, too. I tend to just bear with pain unless it gets...well...unbearable. Then I'll break down and take Tylenol. Although I don't have liver issues, either, so..I COULD take it more often!

Good morning Queen JB and Menuers,

Hope your trip to the vet in uneventful and everybody checks out well. I think I am really late today. Rudy had to sniff everything this morning on his walkies.

The events in Hawaii leave me heart broken. So many lives lost and destruction. There was also a gas explosion that blew a house into toothpicks and there were at least 5 lives lost here near where the twins live. I saw it made national news this morning. We did get the girls in the pool a bit this weekend. Man that 14-year-old brother is so good with his baby sisters. Their parents are so lucky he is such a great kid.

5 days of work and then I am heading to the beach. I am starting to organize and making sure I have enough alcohol to make it through. I'm thinking seltzers for breakfast, vodka and mio for the beach, anf old fashions for night caps and some wine sprinkled in. In my head I am committed to a 3 mile run every morning. My home run is on so many hills. I am hoping it will be a treat to run a flat course.

QOTD: Stevia is my go-to for beverages and Swerve for baking.

Accountability: Not to great. I have to crack down this week because I do not want to leave for vacation on the high side of my weight.

TSS: 5 years 8-month 3-days 160 Lowest (129.4)

B: Coffee with SF Coffee mate chocolate Caramel

MS: L&F Tiramisu Greek Yogurt, berries

CB: Coffee with SF chocolate caramel

L: crack cucumber salad. snack selects.

D: stuffed zucchini

Exercise: Dog walking. 3.1-mile run. (done)

Water and Vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric Advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and 500mg of Magnesium. I also use MiraLAX and fiber in my first coffee of the day.

Have a great week my friends.

Brightest Blessings,

Chrissy
