Ah, the kitchen scale is my friend! :) I would have figured you weigh everything when you're home and picture you having some portable scale for your travels!

Not sure if my symptoms and pain align. The pain is in my back, kidneys, and lower GI tract below the navel. I'm beginning to see a pattern where if I eat too much over several hours, it seems it has no place to go and is having trouble moving through my system based on what I've been feeling. I still wonder if part of it is a motility issue. Time will tell!

Interesting...I never overeat when I measure because I'm too stubborn/lazy to measure for seconds, lol

the scale is my friend but I do admit that when making my salads I eyeball the lettuce and other veggies but weigh chicken and fruit.

QOTD: Too many sugar alcohols bother me, but it's only happened a couple of times. I don't mind artificial sweeteners in things I eat or drink. I drink a lot of diet soda. But I don't add artificial sweeteners to anything, and never use them in baking.

Today should be pretty routine, outside of taking cats to the vet. It's literally 4 minutes from home, but they cry like they're being waterboarded.

I picked up a roast last week, but with all the birthday celebrating I ended up freezing it. Maybe I'll thaw it, maybe I'll pick up another. I don't know why, but thawing something always seems like a chore. But it does.

I will throw in chicken or roasts frozen in the crockpot since the frozen liquids add to the mositure of the meat.

Good morning ~ I've often thought of the nature v nurture with my siblings. Out of the 6 of us - only 2 of us were overweight from the start and all through childhood - me and the one sister who had VSG. As adults there are 4 overweight-ies, 2 normies. I had a nice weekend that started off overindulgent, but I was able to reel it in. This week is going to be a doozy. Work is jam packed, school starts today - my first online class ever and I'm clueless, we are leaving for Vegas on Thursday and I'm worried about DS taking care of the fur babies considering his schedule and their med schedule. BUT! I got up and did a light workout at 4 am today. I am gaining control which is great that I have the increased capacity - it's been a long recovery. Staying organized and diligent is the only way I am going to meet all my goals. I'm working really hard on that.

QOTD - Oh how I've tried to get away from them but I just can't cross over to stevia. SA are a huge gut no-no but i have indulged, consequences be damned many a time and paid dearly. I like splenda in my coffee. Some sugar free drinks like Minute Maid zero lemonade and fruit punch. I gave up diet soda last year.

Have a great day!

Good job for doing what you can! And good luck on your first day of school. Did DH take a back to school photo of you?
