Born in Syracuse, spent time in Bridgeport and Pennellville. The schools were in Phoenix County, so not too, too far away!

Our local high school has these trailers for additional classroom due to overcrowding.

Love the mascot and mural.

Yum on the lobster. I haven't had lobster in forever. Do you eat all parts of the lobster or just the tail and claws? I remember DH was being adventurous eater ordering lobster Thermador. He did not like it at all as it had "other parts" of the lobster. Luckily, it was a quality restaurant that offered to get him something else to eat instead.

Work today. I woke at 0 dark 30 (2:30 am) and couldn't go back to sleep. Eventually got out of bed at 4 am, so to work by 6. I will leave early and go to yoga. This weekend, DD is dog sitting for my niece. They live in a tiny little town about 30 minutes north of Spokane, about 1 hour from our house. DD was lamenting that there would be nothing to do all day. Therefore, I offered to drive out to go on a hike with her, then out to lunch. I might also see if there is huckleberry picking in the area. I will try to get in my leg weightlifting workout before heading out to see her. Then DS, DH, and I will meet up for Oppenheimer and perhaps dinner out. Sunday will be Pilates and meal prepping for the week. Monday, I have a peel alternative facial scheduled.

Pictures of me and DD, My family (sisters, BILs, nieces and nephews), lemon cucumbers from the garden.

QOTD: My mom was big on the traditional meat and potatoes. Think roasts, pork chops, fried chicken, meatloaf, etc. We usually had some kind of other veggie to go with it. Mom also made things like tacos and spaghetti, but the staples were meat and taters. My dad grew up always having a dessert after dinner so there was always something like cookies, brownies, ice cream. I still like the meat and potato meals, but DH was never a fan so I rarely cooked that kind of thing before WLS. I would order it if on the menu at a restaurant (not anymore since I don't want the bread). Yum, open face roast beef sandwich with lots of gravy and potatoes.

Great family photos! Have never seen anything like that lemon cucumber. Does it taste citrusy?

As for lobster, I've never wrangled a whole one either but I slammed some great clams while my partner at the time sat at a picnic table at Abel's Lobster Pound for over two hours and meticulously cracked open every tiny piece of his first ever lobster because the staff told him it was all edible. Points to him for being thorough, I guess!

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuer's,

I never met a lobster I didn't like. As a matter of fact, after I cut hair last night, we decided to go to dinner at a nice Italian restaurant and the special was a watermelon salad with lobster meat. I was a little hesitant, but it wasn't pasta, so I went with it. It was surprisingly awesome. I had lobster with a vanilla cream sauce in an old rustic 13th century Inn and that was a big mistake, so I was taking a leap ordering this one and glad it was a winner.

Weekend Yeah, I have a dinner party tonight, Tomorrow morning I will do my HITT class (I am definitely getting stronger) I got mom duty and pool boy and gardening duty. I am hoping my friend can bring the twins to come swim tomorrow and I am going to start organizing my stuff for the beach trip. If anyone is heading to Ocean City MD the week of the 19-26 you will find me on the beach at 78th street. Stop by and say hello.

QOTD: Lots of Pasta and sausage and all things Italian when we were at my Fraternal Grandmothers home When we were kids, and my mom did not work, she actually had a bread day. Once a week she would make I bet at least 10 loafs of bread. Oh, when they came out the oven and we would eat them warm with good butter slathered on them. She made an awesome beef stroganoff. I remember eating round steak with peppers and tomatoes. We would always have a version of chili mac. it was ground meat, sauce, elbow macaroni, and American cheese slices melted on top. One of my favorites was her tuna melts. I still make them once a year on good Friday. Food was key in our house. I could really go on for days about the cuisine. I have to mention my dad's wiener schnitzel it was so awesome. I have the recipe but only have attempted it one time. It is a labor of love. When mom started back to work, I was in 7th grade we would buy a whole cow and I would read through the recipe book to come up with new versions of what I could do with ground beef. I cooked often once I got to Junior high school.

Accountability: I was so tired I did not run this morning, so I only ran once this whole week, and I switched out diinner for the lobster salad and a badly made old fashion.

L: greens and beans Italian cucumber salad. snack selects.

D: lamb chops and vegies

Exercise: Dog walking. 1/2 hour dog petting. I didn't run because I am having issues with the go, and I was afraid the go would happen during my run.

Water and Vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric Advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and 500mg of Magnesium. I also use MiraLAX and fiber in my first coffee of the day.

Have a great day my friends.

Brightest Blessings,

Chrissy

Good morning all. Yesterday was concrete cutting day. And concrete is HARD. And very close to the ground.

We're having the driveway repaved. There has always been this concrete extension that's part of the poured concrete garage floor. It's always bugged the crap out of me. Over time the pavement sinks, and cracks appear, weeds grow, and it hinders snow shoveling. I wanted the concrete gone, and all the estimates were wishy-washy on doing it. They all left themselves an out, and I didn't believe they would do it. So I rented a big concrete saw, and made a bunch of cuts in 6" concrete. It hurts.

Your queen took her trusty jackhammer and broke some of it up today. It leaves a nice gap so the bobcat can take the rest of it out.

If you want something done the way you want it done, you've got to do it yourself.

Here's the Queen at work. I have video too, but you can't upload it here.

I've never once been accused of wearing a reasonable/responsible shoe.

But I did think about it and decided-- what was a piece of leather going to do to protect me from a jackhammer? I was either going to have toes or not have toes, haha.
