Good morning. Woke up at 3:45 am. So, I'm up and ready for my day. Which is busy. I did great on my food and beverage choices yesterday and got in a great walk. Yoga had a substitute teacher, and I was not impressed. She'll be there next week too, so I'm already looking for an alternative to my regular Wednesday work out for next week. Ended the day with a bunch of neighbors in the yard, and I did not have wine. Yay me.

Today is busy! Need to drop off my daughter's farmer veggies to her, go to the dentist, lunch date with a friend, PT and then appetizer date with other friends. I'll get 20-30 minutes of exercising done at PT. He's pretty aggressive with the workout. But I'd also like to try to get in a good walk this evening. My knee is not great and I'm supposed to do the stairs today in my planner, but he said to take it a bit easy, so I'll do PT and a walk and still be able to say I'm continuing my exercise streak. Greece and Turkey in just over 6 weeks and I'm concentrating on being as strong as I can for that trip.

QoTD: Princess. A boxer/shepard mix and a very sweet girl. We got her when I was about 4 and she passed when I was 16.

Bites today:

B: may skip as I have to leave for my appointments. And I can't eat on the road because I am going to the dentist and I need shiny clean teeth and breath to walk in!

L: splitting chicken fajitas with with my girlfriend. No rice, no tortillas, a few chips and refried beans

D: Not sure. Going to a farm to table restaurant, so maybe a salad with a protein?

Peace Everybody.

I went to yoga on Tuesday and the teacher didn't show up. One of the yogis at that class had taken teacher training so stepped in to instruct. While I was happy to still be able to do the yoga class, it wasn't as good as usual. I understand you wanting to find a different plan for the workout. Some teachers just don't give you a good workout.

Greece and Turkey vacation. I need your adventurous life! Hope your knee cooperates.

Oh, I did not realize you were going to Turkey as well. Istanbul is my favorite city. When I went there it was like I had come home to a place I?d never been before (ala that John Denver song, lol). The people are so friendly, the history on top of history on top of history, the food, the art.

My recommendation would be to add a hammam experience in your free time. There is only one co-ed hammam, go to that one, I want to say it's Suelyman...but most things are, lol, so could be wrong. I have done the more traditional single sex one and that was an amazing an empowering experience but for your first time you and Rog should go together. My skins has never felt as silky and as smooth as it did after the hammam! Plus it's a 1500s building with all the stone and marble. I went preWLS and the garments were quite designed for my figure but they made it work, which was very nice. You won't have that problem with your fit, svelte self.

you'll love Istanbul It's one of my favorite cities, too. Make sure you get to Hagia Sophia (esp if you like architecture). When we walked in the door, I literally stood there with my mouth open. It was the most breathtaking beautiful building I think I've ever been in!

btw - the Blue Mosque is across the street - that's a beautiful building, too. And the cisterns - also in that same area. I thought they were very interesting. The bazaars are fun, too.

My friend was haggling for a prayer rug at the bazaar. I am A good negotiator for work not so much for cars and things. I waited until she got to her purchase price and then told the guy, I want that rug at that price, which he agreed to....and then....my friend didn't buy her rug, lol.
mine is gorgeous though. Well worth carting all the rest of our trip!

One of the reasons we picked this cruise is because several of you have raved about Istanbul. We are very excited and I jotted down these places to look up tomorrow morning and see how I can fold them in!
