What's on your Wednesday Menu?

Yes! I think it was a factor in my stomach issues. I really regret taking it.

Those are some good prices on the chicken thighs! I love it when my Starbucks cold brew concentrate goes on sale. I try to stock up since it is rather spendy otherwise.

Hopefully the weather will stay warm enough until you can get in the water. You must be getting close to having your incisions healed enough to immerse yourself in water. How long has it been since you had the pain pump removed?

I have never had aqua fresca. I will admit that I have avoided drinks with sugar in it for so long (even before WLS) that I never consider getting something like that. If DD orders a drink with sugar, I may take a sip just to try it.

Agua Fresca is awesome BUT I wouldn't go near the real thing now. Unless I made it myself as an extra special treat.

Glad you managed to enjoy the lake a bit without swimming. Also glad you're protecting yourself by not chancing it. Too many stories about picking up something in bodies of water!

Hope your vision improves and you get that appointment. It's a scary issue to have. Good thoughts for you.

Good morning QJB and menuers!

Aww, the menu crew is awesome to send you celebratory fish tacos (and a burger)! Glad you're still celebrating the way you want to, and love your evaluation. I think we're all always works in progress.

QOTD - Fresh pasta in Florence. It's just not the same here as getting it at the market, made and mixed in front of you. For a while it was that chicken and corn chowder I rarely see on the menu and then learned to make myself. I tend to go through cycles of cravings.

So I have this thing the last couple of years where when I experience a bout of deja vu or random unexplained intense pains, I imagine that something terrible has happened to an alternate version of myself in another dimension. Anyone else have this weird delusion? No? Just me? Cool cool. Yesterday came with one of those pains in my upper back and I thought about how alter-me died in the car wreck I was right behind on the interstate instead of squeaking through the gap a minute later. Weird, right?

Work from home today. Bit more rain projected. Another Wednesday!

Accountability- I added some clam chowder to my menu last night.

Exercise - mid-weights. My arms hurt and I welcome it. Next time I have to change a tire it will be EASY, darn it!

Menu - Protein pudding, shaved turkey breast pile (4 ounces), leftover steak, last banana piece, part of an avocado, some carrots, chicken breast, baked fish if needed.

Cheers!

Your birthday picture is great. I don't have pictures but know what I weighed on every birthday of my life. I wish now I did have a photo record.

One of the most amazing foods I have ever eaten was the lobster roll that I made after reading about how you loved them. The recipe I found had celery and mayo and people here told me I could do it without mayo and veggies. I used Kerrygold butter, fresh lemon juice and paprika, I grilled my roll with butter. It was delicious and I have enough for dinner today.

I have seen the grilled corn in other countries and always afraid of getting sick from street food when not in US. I am going to try that at home.

Knowing about Cottage Food laws and how some people keep house, I tend to think I'm not in any more danger from cooked street food than I am random potlucks and farmers market purchases here, lol.

How true. My BIL and SIL are real estate appraisers. They say it is shocking how some people keep their houses, dirty and cluttered, bad repair, etc. You also never know how people prepare the food (double-dipping, etc) and store food.
