Mornin' All!

Bro and I went to see "Oppenheimer" yesterday. Very good film, but we (and by this I mean "I") managed to inhale a crap ton of popcorn during those three hours. We got a large - and we refilled it during the movie. Brought home 1/2 of the refill, which, if we both ate about the same amount (which I think we did, despite my earlier comment), means that I ate 3/4 of a large popcorn. No butter (I don't love yellow-dyed grease), but at 900 kcal for an unbuttered large (according to their menu), that means I wasted 675 kcal on freaking popcorn. UGH. Felt it last night - and again this morning. This will be a light eating day for sure.

he and I are going downtown later today to buy some cheese for his friend and have it shipped. You can get high-end artisanal cheeses at some of the grocery stores around here (this is Wisconsin - and there are cheese places all over), that is, if you know your labels (and I do...), but they don't ship, unfortunately. This fancy-schmancy cheese shop DOES ship (but then, their cheese is pricey). Too bad he can't/won't just take some cheese home on the plane with him - then he could just pick it up anywhere. Hard cheeses do fine if left out of refrigeration for several hours. But...no. He wants to get it at the cheese shop. OK...

QOTD: I've dropped mine several times, but it's never broken. I do have a leather case for it, though, which probably helps protect it somewhat

B: coffee with half & half

MS: protein pancakes topped with plain skyr and strawberry compote

L/AS: depends on when we get back from our cheese excursion. If we're home, probably a protein muffin or a Ratio yogurt

D: I think we might be going out, unfortunately (unfortunately only because I don't need any extra calories today. Hopefully they'll pick a place with good choices...)

have a great day, everyone!

I would totally break the bank on artisanal cheeses and empathize with your brother. I brought back a small wax wheel of cheese from Texel and set off all the alarms at the airport. They were not happy with me. I have similar experiences any time I bring tea home from overseas, too.

QJB- the brooms turned out well. Have a fun long weekend.

My mom's memorial service went really well. I did a eulogy. It seems you never remember to cover everything you thought about or entirely capture the persons life experiences. Everyone seemed to like it though. We had a really good turnout and the celebration at life after was fun. Got to visit and remember my mom with a variety of people. Today we will meet at the condo to do some packing.

QOTD: I have never broke or lost a cell phone.

I went to Pilates this morning. Meals are TBD. Did start the day off with my usual yogurt.

The photos are beautiful. You look great. I know you guys have figured me out already, so you won't be surprised I type this. I have been keeping a running log in my phone since my dad passed 17 years ago so I don't miss anything in my mom's obituary. She knows I have it written already. I tell her all the time you just need to pass away and were good to go. If you met her, you would know nothing offends her. she's a tough cookie.
