Oh I wish I had that choice. I love Orvis that would be fun if that is what she wants to do. I bought snow shorts there years ago for my friends' kids. They didn't have plus sizes so I wasn't able to get them, but the kids loved them.

Oh Jim, that's tough. Sorry that you had to choose responsibility over fun :(

I think you made a wise decision. I started getting retirement package offers at 50. I knew when I was ready and I was not ready until I was 62.

Good morning and Happy Humpty Day,

I'm excited for the day. I get to see my brother's family today. The gang of four lands this afternoon and I'll be one of the combis. When I travel solo, I take a backpack and carry on. My brother, my SIL, and two kids are filling up an SUV and my Altima for the airport pick up. Is this a lot to travel with for a family of 4?

Wrigley Field is horrible with ADA accommodations. I posted a little while ago that it may become a problem when I visit. Now, it's a problem. I've spoken to guest services twice, who directed me to email when I was in disbelief. I emailed and got a form letter. If I bring my wheelchair, there is nowhere to put it while I'm seated. That option is out. Also, they have a club car that will take me from inside the gates to my section. However, for that, I would need to walk from the street to inside the gates, which isn't physically possible for me. Also, I would have to convince a cop to let us down a closed street and pull over to unload. The ADA wheelchair spots are spoken for but they may be able to find something that day and just charge me the difference in section price. This outing will be interesting.

QOTD- I would not go on a hot air balloon ride. I no longer like heights. I last froze on a rooftop and a trip to Pittsburgh at the top of an inclination.

Matt, last time, I was hoping that they were just weren?t connecting you with the right people at Wrigley, but it sounds like they just aren?t meeting the standard that they need to as a facility. I?m sorry to hear that. How is the United Center?

That sucks I hope they step up and make it right for you. I have seen a lot of students making TikToks about the (lack of) ADA accommodations on their campuses and it's just pathetic. The building will be wheelchair accessible but they won't have a ramp at the curb, so there is still no way in, etc. Anyway, I hope you have a great time with the fam, regardless!

QOTD1- Yes, I've been on a tethered ride but not a real one.

QOTD2- I think you actually have to buy a ticket to win, so it's definitely not me.

The new thermostat is here, but I'm waiting for my roommate to install it. I'm hoping that this one actually works the way it's supposed to.

I need to get to work.

Have a great day everyone!
