Good morning weekend menuers!

Happy Sunday to you and yours. My sleep schedule is on the fritz and I'm Googling savory muffin recipes, so figured I'd come and get us started!

QOTD- What's the most unusual or unique item you own right now and why do you have it? For me, maybe the ogham script inspirational piece I got from Ireland. I've got strong family ties from there and appreciate the history. I see it every day and it still brings me joy.

Today it's still supposed to be above 100, so it's an indoors after 8am kind of day. I'll do a bit of watering early and take a look at my stump but don't think I'll make progress on outdoor projects today!

Made it to a couple places yesterday and will now be marinating a small flank steak for part of meal prep. I also got a bit of butcher shop sausage to try that I'll turn into some breakfast casserole or fritatta with vegetables. This place carries a good variety but everything other than beef cuts, pork cuts, and chicken breast is frozen.

Also picked up the antibiotics yesterday. I was wrong...he prescribed two antibiotics and no probiotic. My retention might be off but I'll call and ask about it tomorrow. Don't think I've ever been on a double course before. And this is at least my fourth this year.

Accountability- Felt too full yesterday and ended up going for density with peanut butter.

Exercise- Recumbent bike today!

Menu is chorizo meatloaf, chorizo peppers, pork chops, turkey on an English muffin, baked spinach with feta, protein pudding, and smoked salmon.

Cheers, everyone!

I used to collect Native American artifacts. I had an axe that was made from the skull of a bear and had the bear's teeth as part of what was used to cut with. Very old and sort of creepy. Of course I had the bleached out skulls, lots of beaded items, and pottery. In the last year of downsizing, all of that has been passed on to others.

That sounds like quite the collection! I'm glad you were able to share the history with others. With a bear skull axe.

Good mornin everyone!

I woke up this morning and had a hard time walking. After a bit it eased up some so I'm hoping to take it easy today. Though I did make some scones for my mom already but I promised her I would.

Not a whole lot planned for the week. I see my PCP Friday and the kids will probably stay the night sometime this week.

QOTD: hmmm. I guess the most unique is the painting my cousin gave to me. It's abstract and has a thing with tentacles and it reminded me of octopuses and I always loved it from afar. A few years ago she gifted it to me. I adore it and it hangs in my room.

Food is unplanned. I had a mini sausage and biscuit thing for breakfast and a yogurt. No scone for me.

I did make myself proud yesterday and made a piece from just a few pictures. Not my own design but the lady I do some work for wanted to try it out. It's about 1 and 3/4 inches wide...so kind of big.

Mornin' Weekenders!

it's supposed to be a high of 79 F today, lower humidity, and no rain - perfect! I'll be out walking or biking sometime today. Plus we have a hair appt at 2:30. Other than that, I'll be continuing to get caught up with classes. My brother is coming tomorrow night, so I won't have as much time to get caught up on "stuff".

QOTD: I have a rock from the Ganges River that I got as a souvenir after a yoga retreat in India a few years ago

B: plain skyr with fruit, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: bagged salad

AS: protein muffin

D: black bean dal, sauteed zucchini & tomatoes

have a great day, everyone!

I hope that's a lucky rock! I remember the stories told about people in Hawaii who were not native taking puka shells and getting bad juju.
