I hope this treatment will work! It's so frustrating to not know what's going on. I'm glad he is serious!
I think my issues were/are caused by Ozempic. I've done a lot of reading and the symptoms match up with stomach paralysis. So it'll go bye bye since it can cause it along with some other issues I've had.

Thanks! Treatment seems to ultimately be antibiotics, then drug and diet/lifestyle management. No magic bullet but it's a path to work toward!
Was reading about gastroparesis the other day! And that it can be associated with that drug class. It's probably worth eliminating to see if it makes a difference. So much cost/benefit analysis with the drugs and treatments.

The internet has said there is a direct correlation of Ozempic and WLS that Caused Lisa Marie Presley's death. Some doctors are saying to not take those blockers if you have had WLS.

Do you make your own spiedie marinade? I used to get it sent from a place in Binghamton but I noticed recently that you can get it on Amazon now! How the world has changed...

I made spiedies two ways. The middle two skewers were using a bottle of Lupo's marinade I picked up (plus one for my mom) on my road trip last fall. Glad I did since Lupo's has now closed that location. The outside skewers are my own marinade with fresh and dried herbs, olive oil, lemon juice and such.
The store bought marinade did not taste like I remember from the spiedie salad last year. The homemade one tasted like childhood memories.
My mom has told me in recent years that she's been known to just toss them in some jazzed up Italian dressing, so that makes sense.
I had no idea you could get it on Amazon! Not exactly surprising though. I was looking at the M&M sauce thing a bit ago and found you could get a lot of the specialty hot dog sauce shipped, too!

I did a quick read on diets for SIBO. Did they recommend a FODMAP diet? This link has a good list of high FODMAP foods with alternative options.

Hopefully, this is the answer you are looking for and you can see resolution of your symptoms.

Yes! I called the WLS dietician at the clinic today when the clock turned over to 8am, sharp. It threw him for a loop when I mentioned SIBO and he did some research to see what was currently recommended. That article is specifically what he came back with, and I'm doing some research now.
I eat a ton of high FODMAP foods, particularly onion and garlic and some of the veggies. I'll probably get the $8 app so I can learn more. I'd called the dietician because everything says to work with the professional on an elimination diet. :)
I'm spending part of today assessing my plan to go forward.
A fascinating thing is that the first GI clinic today called back with the results of my Sitzmark study. 0 markers remained. I asked the nurse point blank if it could be SIBO based on my symptoms and history. She offered me a $179 breath test that isn't covered by insurance and said she was sure they would be okay with me having the test done. She couldn't answer my question though, and I asked if it should be considered as a possibility. Like...she was familiar with the diagnostic test but they again reiterated that they're out of ideas. My second opinion doctor might be the way to go.

SIBO and internal Candida go hand in hand.
When I treat SIBO I also treat Candida (Diflucan).
Im getting ready to start my 2 weeks SIBO and Candida protocol. Beside Antibiotics, and Diflucan, I also take supplements to help bridge the biofilm and dissolve it to reach to deeper layers of SIBO and Candida. This way, My treatment often lasts over a year.
Often "lasts over a year" - because of RNY, My age, plus PPI - I can manage SIBO and Candida but not really eliminate it. Eventually my symptoms return and I need a treatment. At the beginning - I needed to repeat the treatment every 3-5 months, so at least 3 x a year. Now - Once a year seams OK.

Thanks for sharing! I'm curious whether the antibiotics I would have gotten during my hospital stay in May would have had an impact. Or the course my PCP put me through in April (medrol). Is there a particular one you've found works better for you over the years?
I googled. Diflucan is definitely not the second rx he gave me. It's some kind of probiotic and ciprofloxacn.
