I salt and pepper the pork roast and brown it off on the grill before I throw it in the crock pot with the French onion soup and apple butter. 8 hrs. on low or 4 hrs. on high.

another vote for using it like you would a jam - that's what I've always done with it. The pork roast idea sounds interesting, though....

My grandfather literally made brooms and shoes and brick walls. Things were extremely difficult after communism and collective farming .

Before that they had a four matching appaloosa sitch . A farm in the country and a home in the town owned outright ( mortgages and property taxes were nonexistent then ...mostly still are)

About fifty acres which in Europe is a lot . ( but plenty the soil is hugely fertile) Everything was taken from them for the collective they barely escaped slavery and probable death in Siberia .

i remember him showing me how to stitch a broom and being an extremely angry person.

Frankly I hated and feared him and avoided him . He abused my Grandmother verbally for sure probably physically too and told my Dad to let my Mom work but to take every bit of money from her .

Good mornin everyone. Hope you're all well.

Not just a whole lot going on here today. I do get my staples out today and boy do they need to come out. It's really really irritated and sore. It's even been oozing a little bit of fluid from where the staples are. I've been cleaning it but I'm so ready for them to be out.

QOTD: I'm secretly an outgoing, bubbly socialite (I guess that's a job these days LOL).

B: JUST egg bowl and a yogurt

L: small bowl of stew from the freezer

D: tilapia filet and maybe some stir fry veggies

S: ????

Well I for one very much like your beautiful socialite Grrrl!

As a fellow six feet taller ( almost ? anyway we can all dream) I think you register as way more beautiful than you think .

Stop hiding and slouching carry yourself like the queen you are . You ARE a beautiful woman you do know that right?

i consumed a whole container of fat free sour cream ( as dip for veggies) last nite and ate more cheese and bread this morning. Guilty as charged but seriously its over a hundred degrees out and my pets and i desperately need a home .

Good morning QJB and menuers,

JB, a gallon of water weighs over 8 pounds. Mayhap you're especially well-hydrated in your busyness?

QOTD- Not something I've ever thought about, imaginary careers. I could bluff my way through being a tea buyer for some import company.

I was awake most of the night listening to my guts roiling. I don't know about you all, but I tend to get the best sleep exactly when I shouldn't be sleeping, so the past hour was filled with great sleep and vivid dreams.

Today is work from home, and catching up as much as I can from taking yesterday.

Thank you for all of the feedback yesterday! I'm still a work in progress on this journey as I've got this first year under my belt. Off my belt? Whatever.

Today is water, tea, protein puddings, and maybe some peanut butter if I'm feeling crazy.

Happy Thursday!

I haven't had a glass of water since 1982. I am definitely not over hydrated.
