I don't like to weigh daily either. I am scared to weigh after vacation because I did indulge more than usual. Not extreme but I didn't pack all my salads as per usual....

Good morning, everybody!

I am in the office today, so phone pecking from the train. Also, I have a meeting, so semi-dressed up. Sneakers, though. I would like to go to CrossFit tonight, but that may involve the 7:30 PM class. Even on days of long daylight that one is tough to motivate myself to go to. But if I don't go tonight, I have no room for error the remainder of the week.

Marilyn is home. It was about as advertised - drop her off at 11:30 and pick her up at 4:30. She shussed me out of Ambulatory Surgery as soon as she could, ostensibly to save $5 on parking.

I bought her some Caramel Cold Brew M&M's and she cooked some pierogies, so she was pretty happy.

Yesterday, the Duck tape prom dress winners were announced. I love this event, some people are just amazingly talented. I would be lucky not to get my fingers taped together. The winners get a $10,000 scholarship.

QOTD: Checking the stock market for investments that I won't access for 10-15 years.

Breakfast: Frittata

Lunch: Catered

Dinner: Egg Roll in a bowl

Have a great day, all!

I never heard of the duck tape prom dress until alst year when looking for scholarships for DS (no he doesn't wear dresses). They are incredible.

What do you know about inheritance 401Ks? My mom has a small 401K that will be dispersed to me and my sisters. I was wondering what particulars I should know before transferring it to my 401K....tax implications, restrictions, etc. I am better taking the cash instead?

Good morning and happy Monday. QJB, I hate lost days like that...particularly when you are exhausted but can't point to what you accomplished. Your day today sounds......much better!

Yesterday was so much work chaos plus very little sleep as I had an airport pickup that got me to bed at 1:30 and I had to be out of the house by 5:00 for early meetings that I was convinced that it was Tuesday or Wednesday when it was only about 3pm on Monday, lol. I did get a weights workout in at home last night while waiting for bookclub to start.

Today is busy, busy - lots of meetings plus the dentist (just to figure out if I can move from 21 hours a day with the retainer to less...I'm hoping for "only when you are sleeping") and my personal trainer and then a call with some friends for a thing we need to plan for next year. I'm over planning anything right now and I told people that yet the meeting is happening, we'll see if I can just kick back and let everyone else run it or if my planning nature kicks in, lol. I did get in a rowing session this morning and only need 6 miles for my 50 for the month. I'm annoyed with ifit, it's not updating the days correctly so apparently I'm a time traveler and did this morning's workout on Saturday....at least the YTD updates fine and I can do the basic math for the month, lol.

QOTD - giving up twitter (or X as apparently it's now known) last year really helped with my time sucks. Probably Best Fiends is probably it, I use it the way I used to use doodling and multi-task while watching TV sometimes. Maybe cooking competition shows for #2!

Food prep and planning has really fallen by the wayside this last week or so. My BFF worked from my house yesterday and said "you have all the food I could want, as long as I want protein bars, yogurt or cheese".......so probably some combination of those three and I don't think I will get to the grocery store before Thursday after work. Ugh

Have a terrific Tuesday (how is it only Tuesday)!

Your days are just a whirl wind.
And I would be happy eating at your house: protein bars, cheese, yogurt, don't need anything else.

I still remember my first time at Quora and the hours just vanished as I kept reading. There are some fascinating stories out there and I don't go there often because I know it will take more time than I want to give it.
