I think if that works for you and you adjust based on it, that's perfect! Finding what works I think is more important than what it is that works, if that makes sense

I wish I didn't need to, but I have to to stay on plan. It's too easy for me to go overboard. Do what works for you!

If I don't track, I would eat more than I am supposed to. I use both tracking and the scale.

Tracking has become a habit for me, I do it so I know I'm not going over the cals or carbs. On the other hand I don't weigh myself everyday, can't handle the everyday stress. We all do what works for us.
