Good Morning everyone! Happy Fri-yay! We did it :) What are your fun plans for the weekend? Nothing here--I need to get my butt in gear with school because I have a lot of assignments this week, and I need to prep for yet another class next weekend. We're taking that broom class next Saturday and I am teaching on Sunday when everything is due, so I need to get everything in my Friday.

As requested, here is what has been taking all my time this week. I made 68 of the jungle baby shower cookies + 48 of the pink princess birthday cookies.

QOTD: What is the perfect room temperature? 75 during the day and 68 at night.

Accountability: I was so hungry yesterday from the second I woke up. I did add an extra veggie burger and I had half a protein shake, ending the day at 677 calories. Better today.

Good Friday morning QJB and menuers!

Those cookies are stunning, as always. You have so many creative designs. I wish you could ship out of state!

My super fun plans this weekend include putting together my little Smokey Joe and trying to learn something about grilling. And spending time at Lowe's so I can get what I need to treat my deck and seal the stump for my birdbath project, I hope.

Half office day today and lunch with a colleague I really enjoy connecting with. Looking forward to it and hoping she doesn't want to walk to town in this heat. I will, though...just with a floppy hat!

QOTD- 78 or so.

Accountability- I had a big stomach day and took advantage by adding another meal and drinking a ton of water and tea.

Exercise- bodyweight routine, walk to town, maybe elliptical

Menu- matzo ball soup with a ton of Cornish game hen, pork loin, lunch out TBD, chicken sausage, all the cherries, seaweed, blueberries

Pics are the aromatics from the stock I made last weekend, Mr. Oliver's tongue in a peanut butter jar, and pork loin. I'm always posting food and dogs! Have a great day, everyone!

I love the food pyramid quote. I never looked at it that way. I need to make an actual food pyramid now.

JB makes me laugh. She's always worried about getting schoolwork done on time. I always have to make her wait, and not hand in things too early. She's that kid in school that all the rest of us wanted to beat up.

QOTD:I'm not sure I have a favorite temp. I do like it colder at night. I like a cold room and heavy blanket. I don't like it hot during the day. I'd much rather be chill than sweat.

I remember my sister complaining her first year of college. She was 18 and said that the older people who went back to college really messed up the curve because they worked too hard at it. Your salad is a good start, but no ham?

Hmm. I ended up getting put in groups with much younger people for my online degree. They did not want to work or do projects and I ended up having to complete everything seconds before the deadline. They still got good grades since it was a group grade. Maybe they love group projects as much as I despised them.

I remember when this whole team vs. individual performer movement started back in the 1980's. There was always someone on the team who slacked and others had to make up for them. Teamwork is now probably part of every company's culture. I am currently doing a course on teamwork as part of preparing to got back to work in September. It is an interesting topic for me.

I do have to make the team successful. I think of it as a skill that we continue to develop. I am also sometimes the person who has to identify the slackers and sometimes have to fire them. They get away with that in school, but life catches up to them when they are actually in the workplace.

I feel the same way usually about temps. It's easier to warm up rather than cool down. I'd love a temperate climate where it doesn't change much year round due to my back issues. Cold fronts and weather changes causes chaos.
