What's on your Wednesday Menu?
G'morning all!
QJB - 68 cookies? I can't imagine the pain in your hands? Do you get cramps? When I watch your reels I get hand cramps.
Our renegade otter saga continues; they can't catch her. Of course typical of any Dr they are blaming her female hormones for this aggressive behavior. You should see our family chat: first thing in the morning is news about 841.
QOTD: I don't like cooking, if I buy a cookbook it's because I genuinely want to learn how not to F up in the kitchen. So I buy them, I don't have a favorite, I try a couple of dishes and I realize nope, it's me, I'm the problem, and I put it away. Then 6 months later I forget and buy another one in the hopes of learning.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee
- Mex cauli rice w/ground turkey
- Chomp stick, 1 chocolate keto bomb, few strawberry & jalapeño crisps
- Hb eggs, tuna, avocado
- E: 1/2 hr HIIT + weights
Happy hump day!

I am super happy to report that ever since I got Eugene the Dough Sheeter my hands are 1000000% better. No more insane cramping, just "normal" arthritic pain, which is completely doable. I am looking forward to taking a few days off from decorating though!
((Don't tell DH but I am totally rooting for 841.))

Convo batten DD & DH:
DD: dad you need to organize the surf community, get out there and set up the board
at dawn patrol every morning make the case for the otter
DH: that's a good idea. not my place Cowells though, so can't really be the guy to spearhead this. i've been following the chatter though. there are like minded people there. hopefully some otter rights are considered.
DD: love, keep pushing the label

I like baking. I like breads and sweets. I'd try new things, but shouldn't.
To be a good cook, I think, you have to like what you're cooking, and be able to make adjustments. You have to eat a little of what you're cooking, taste it, and go from there. Most things that require that don't taste good to me. Beech. I have no idea what addition, or spice, or whatever it needs. I can't cook, using those criteria, at all.
I can "cook" you a great steak, or burger, or chicken, or whatever. But that's just single items, and really, isn't being a cook at all.

I love baking! Because there is no experimentation, in my mind. You gotta follow the recipe to the T or it won't come out the same way.
Cooking is more go with the flow, add and subtract, and see what comes out at the end. I'm a disaster in that department.

Haha, the last batch of muffins I made with my family, I played fast and loose with the recipe and they didn't firm up on top. They were a melty but delicious learning experience. I made them again just to make sure I could fix the problem. That wet/dry balance is no joke and doesn't care if you want extra blueberries.
