One of the things I really find upsetting about the United States is that you have to be a slave to an organization in order to have great healthcare. In other civilized countries, healthcare is a right and their governments provide it for all.

If you want to walk away from working, look into what retirement packages might be available and whether you would qualify for some type of Obamacare. I was 61 when my husband died and I negotiated a retirement package where they paid my social security and retirement at the rate they would have paid at 67. When I turned 67, I switched to actual social security. It gave me six years of not working and being free to do whatever I wanted with my time.

They had started offering me early retirement packages as soon as I turned 50.

It could be worthwhile to talk to your company and see if they are willing to make you a good retirement offer.

Wishful thinking. They have never even given anyone unemployment after leaving here. LOL We are small in the number of employees but big in the amount of business we do.

There are a lot of places like that. One of the advantages of working for huge company is the benefits that we end up taking for granted sometimes. You are a sales person and would be very in demand if you ended up back in the market for employment.

Getting on a regular exercise routine, when you are so stressed, is very difficult. That's why some people hire a trainer because then you are forced to show up and do the work. After a while it becomes part of your routine and you can drop the trainer.
But wait till you are in a slower phase of your work (if that even exists) and see what you can do. Don't add to your plate while you are at full capacity.

Sounds like a rough time but I know you'll figure it out for you, even if that takes some time. If retiring at 55 were an option in this life, I'd be all over that! I think my retirement age is projected to be 68. Keeps creeping up!

Good morning all and Happy Tarantula Tuesday,

I just read an article that Vegas has tarantulas! Even life is a gamble in sin city. For those interested in the World Series of Poker, the $12.1 mil winner is Daniel Weiman, who beat out 10K+ generates who each forked over a $10K entry. I've only gone to the WSOP once and still have great memories of it. I had amazing time with the great Phil Ivey and told him what time it was.

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. I'm going to try to make a couple strangers' day more beautiful. I'll be on the lookout for opportunities throughout the day.

QOTD- I don't remember the last time I got stung. Getting stung doesn't affect me greatly.

Years ago, someone sent me a photo of a sign from the inside of the door in a men's room. It said to lift the seat and check before sitting down, because tarantulas and other large spiders liked the dark under the seat, and anything dangling near them was fair game.
