Par for the course on some of the doctor visits. Hope the one with your surgeon bears fruit. Glad today is a bit better!

Is your loss related to the GI issues like mine was? It can be disconcerting to drop that much, that fast, even when you want to be losing.

It is related. 30 of it was in less than two weeks. I'm just tired of it as I am sure you know how that is. I don't enjoy food at all. I'm just tired of feeling rotten. You never really realize how much your digestive tract rules your life.

Started to feel rotten again just about an hour ago. You'd think after not eating yesterday I'd not feel as bad...diarrhea. Yuck.

so sorry you've been dealing with so much too!

Whew, that's a lot to drop in two weeks! And probably means dehydration too, unfortunately. It is a crummy place to be...especially if you're surviving a day at a time with no resolution. I hope it gets better for you. Did you try the BRAT diet? It helped Jim, I think. Didn't work for me because of whatever the other underlying issues are...but it might work for you!

Bananas make me really gag over the texture. I am trying to stick to bland and mostly liquid diet.

the surgeons office was closed today so I sent in a message through the patient portal.

thanks!

That is a fast drop in weight. Take care of yourself. Stay hydrated and eat protein forward as best as you can.

Mel! I hope you start feeling better. Are you still doing the Ozempic? If so, isn't nausea one of the main and most common side effects? On the good side, a no bueno tummy makes it easier to pass on food. On the bad side, gotta get something in!

I am. I haven't taken it for about 4 weeks and took a dose Wednesday. I know it contributed to it. But it was the same symptoms as the previous weeks.

I was told to take it or else I wouldn't have. My BS's are not great when I'm really feeling ill.

thanks!

If her death was due to gastric surgery complications ( I seriously doubt that conclusion) I just feel so sorry that we were less than sympathetic.

I think many performers ( including me ) find our way to us and then get rejected because folks dont understand the need to feel confident on stage andv how hard that is ..and that we really need to relax and be ourselves.

Privately and perhaps once in our lives its a great feeling like were not about to be betrayed.

I said I probably would never perform again and realized I sang last weekend. For the equivalent of a lobster roll lol but it was fun.

I consider these sessions a rehearsal or just exploring musical creativity.
