What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?
Moby Dick's in Wellfleet. It's seasonal though so maybe closed in the fall.

Thanks Jim! I earmarked it and see it's out near Provincetown. I'm not above calling to check seasonality. Appreciate the share!

Amen to that!!
We thought it would be easier but nope. I keep saying though, I'd rather fight the 10 lbs than the 110 lbs.

Just love that inspirational quote. It always seems easier that it really is. I laughed when I read that.

Good Friday morning QJB and menuers,
Having completed three degrees online but zero in person, I'm inclined to agree with you on your QOTD. Xmas in July sounds fun and hope you're able to get that head start. I would not have had the willpower to turn down a lobster roll. In fact, I'm trying to logic myself into why taking another drive through the northeast isn't needed just because I love the coast, seafood, and apple cider donuts. I've done similar trips though and want to visit other places. We'll see what wins...seafood or wanderlust.
QOTD- As I've been diving in to cooking I'm learning there's an assumption that people include all types of cooking, and that's a big umbrella. I've been asked several times now about cakes and sweets and bread. While I'm willing to learn, that hasn't been my focus yet since bread is so labor intensive and baking can be very fiddly with wet/dry mixes (my last winged batch of blueberry, ginger, and lime muffins can attest to that, delicious though they were). Different kind of culinary skills for another time.
Forgot I had a dental cleaning yesterday to end the day. I volunteered for extra ones while I have braces. Seemed like a good idea at the time. It's been a busy week, appointment-wise. The WLS clinic called since they got back all my bloodwork except the fat soluble vitamins . I'm low on protein, which isn't entirely unexpected given the last few months. I have a follow up scheduled at 18 months but he wants me back for more bloodwork in a month or so.
Accountability- My day went off the rails at lunch when I started having pains again. I did not finish the chicken breast. Fortunately, I'd already eaten quite a lot of planned stuff. Then I had Miralax and ramen for dinner.
Exercise- Recumbent bike today. It's soaked outside, which I'm celebrating because we need it but no working in the yard.
Menu today...bit tenuous but plans are
Breakfast- slice of Dave's killer bread with 3 ounces of turkey and a slice of cheese
Second breakfast- 3/4 of the last banana. It has spots...that's pushing my abilities
Elevensies - roast beef slices on wasa with horseradish mustard
Lunch - two boiled eggs with Chinese mustard, rambutan, seaweed
Dinner - sliced chicken sausage with bell pepper
Supper - roasted pork loin, I hope
Pics are one of my delicious caviar bites from last Saturday, my hopefully soon-to-be birdbath tree stump (if anyone has feedback on preserving/transforming, would love you to share. Researching now), my signal fire before the crew started adding more wood, and my pups watching me while I was working in the pasture the other day.
Happy Friday!
