I have been wondering how you were and I am so sorry to hear this sad news. You and your family are in my thoughts and I'm sending a lot of love your way.

Good morning People!

It's 8, I am up, dressed, bed made and having coffee. Oh I did scrub another good section of cabinets. But I'm off my morning game and feeling like a slacker. No exercise yet this morning because we are hoping that we remembered to take the bike batteries out of the rig and then take the bikes to the bay for a ride. If we forgot, there is walking in my future, very hot, afternoon.

I did not eat Belgium chocolates yesterday. Instead I ate See's chocolate. I went in to get a gift and they forced two pieces on me and what was I to do? Make excuses of how hard I worked out on the the stairs and then eat them of course. But I did great on my other foods and got in tons of movement. So maybe just a push for the day.

Today we are having company for dinner, but they are making the main course, so it should be an easy evening. If this heat doesn't break we'll be eating inside after the grilling, but we are hoping it does and we can have dinner on the deck.

QoTD: I have no job and after looking around me, apparently no real hobby. I need to get a life!

bites today

B: 1 egg, cottage cheese and cherry tomatoes

L: if there is a bike ride, there may be a taco as a reward!

D: smoked sea bass, wild rice for them and I'm making a big salad. I also plan to try to reduce my homemade orange vinaigrette and add some butter and cream to top the sea bass. Hoping I don't end up having to dump the whole thing down the drain.

Pics are my lunch view from Wednesday and my Orange/beet/feta salad.

Peace Everybody.

Lisa, I always used Spic and Span to clean kitchen cabinets and have not been able to find it. What soap do you recommend for scrubbing cabinets? Mine are white painted wood.

Mary,

I like dawn soap and ho****er with a sponge and a Mr. Clean magic eraser for the hard spots. I try not to use abrasives on my cabinet fronts. It's not good for your painted surfaces. I scrub with hot soapy water, hit the stuck spots with the Mr. Clean eraser and then immediately buff with a clean dry soft cloth. That will maintain the life of your paint for the longest time. I'm going on 5 years and most of my cabinets still look brand new. But the one we use the most, with the trash can behind it, is showing wear. Which immediately makes my brain say "OH!!! Let's get the cabinets repainted and wouldn't the color wheat look amazing!?!?!" And Rog grumbles and walks away.

Wheat would look amazing. I don't want the time and expense of painting them, so don't want to ruin the paint cleaning. I am doing a clean up, new paper, and rearranging of the cabinets this weekend. Will use the dishsoap and a Mr Clean eraser. Thanks a lot.

I bet you could do a "what to really know when living the RV life" ted talk! I think the butter cream add to the vinaigrette will work well, you could also do an egg yolk if it's not coming together.

Would never have thought of the egg yolk. Thank you for suggestion. Update tomorrow.

Ok, you are probably right about the RV life thing...
