What's on your Thursday Menu?
Good morning all. Your queen dove back into schoolwork at first light. I can't believe she's almost finished her degree. She's wicked smaht.
I need to alter my routine. Add to it, actually. I've been horribly bored the last few days. I need to shake things up. The heat outside isn't helping.
QOTD. So many. I can quote from lots of movies and TV shows. Not so much from books. I think the most I've read any particular book is maybe 4 times.

What book have you read the most? Mine is a tie between Little Women (probably in the dozen plus) and Dune (at least 10). They are my comfort books, lol.

I didn't include books read to kids. If I had a nickel for every time I read Wynken, Blynken, and Nod. The Little House Books I read several times.
My favorite writer and series is Patrick O'Brian Aubrey/Maturin series. I think there are 22 in the series, set on board British ships during the Napoleonic Wars. Such a phenomenal writer, and historically accurate. I've read those 4, maybe 5 times.
I've read Heinlein several times. I put all the novels and short stories together so I could read everything in the order he wrote them. I've read Asimov's Foundation books, and all the other related novels and stories that are in that universe, several times.

I am not a Heinlein fan....and it was made worse when I was in the bookstore one day, in the SF&F section and some guy randomly walked up to me and told me I should read Heinlein and when I said I've not really a fan proceed to stalk me through the store telling me how wrong I was. It did not persuade me, lol.

I don't care for his later books. They're just . . . weird. And a little creepy. But I love his earlier stuff.

That's great that you want to add to your routine to change up the boredom. I love hearing about people who want more out of life. I have a running list of things I want to learn. I hit the list when I don't know what to do with myself. Maybe a different area of your passion like ham carving? You can make masterpieces like an ice sculpture or an intricate pumpkin design. Seriously, how about delving into an unknown area of vintage tools, woodworking, refinishing, etc?

Hi all! Queen, I'm so impressed that you've rocked an MBA while running a small business!
I don'****ch many movies but when I was young, I had rented the Back to the Future tape on VHS so many times I could quote it! I haven't seen it in a long time. What a movie that was! I knew quite a bit of Dirty Dancing back in the day too. Memories...
I'm really excited - I just used miles to book a trip back to Detroit to see my oldest girlfriends in the world. Well, as in we have been friends since the 90s and 2000s! I moved away 15 years ago but it's still so familiar. I also put a deposit down for a new tattoo. It's been years since I last got inked so I'm excited!
B: English muffin with pb
L: chicken tacos with poblanos and peaches and cabbage slaw (a home chef meal)
D: leftover impossible meat ricotta pasta bake from yesterday. All meals must do double duty in this house to cut down on cooking! Lol
Have a most wonderful day, y'all
