What's on your Wednesday Menu?
My husband and I used to go the gym together several days a week. We considered it fun to workout together and watch each other improve in strength and endurance. I remember when our gym got Nautilus machines in the early 1970's and how amazed I was by being about to do weight bearing exercises without having to work with the weight bars and plates.
When we first started dating, my teenage brothers challenged my "boyfriend" to a weight lifting contest. They had gotten a set of weights for Christmas. They took a bar and put every weight on it that they could fit. Then they challenged Joe to lift it. Joe said that if he did not lift it, he knew that they would make his life miserable with teasing about it. So he used all his strength and managed to get it above his head. My brothers were in awe.
That superhuman effort damaged something in his back and he went to the chiropractor for years after but he said it was worth it to see the looks on their faces at the time.

Does M know there are burpees involved. I would have backed out of this partner workout the second I'd heard about burpees.

I am sure that there will be scaling options like stepping over the rower instead of two foot takeoff.

Good morning all and Happy Humpty Day,
Everything is coming up Matthew! Ok, not everything, but it's a start. I picked up a new CPAP power cord and my CPAP is back in action. I'm addition, a member here graciously offered me a machine. This community and everyone here are unbelievable.
QOTD- I am not familiar with Oppenheimer but it sounds interesting. I don't get to the movies often. The Wes Anderson movie will bring me to the theater.

Glad your cpap is working. If it does die, I'm also on the list of owners with a lightly used model. Mine got about six months of usage, with less toward the end.

That's such a great meme, QJB, and very on point!
QOTD: I could not be less interested. I have no idea why so many of my adult female friends are excited about Barbie, I am almost insecure about it...am I missing something? It's like y'all are at the cool kids table and I am wondering why I am not
I had a most lovely dinner last night, catching up with my gal pals. But my friend sadly, did not cook Indian food. She cooked an interesting dish that she fell in love with when she lived in Sydney, Australia and tries to recreate. It's risotto with tomato paste, onions, pumpkin puree, lots of dill, and salmon. Not exactly my taste but I can see how someone would like it! She also has a PEACH tree in her front yard so we had a peach and mozzarella salad and she sent me home with peaches. I will have one for breakfast, and make a salsa with poblano pepper for tomorrow's Home Chef tacos. Yummo.
B: Small peach, mashed avocado, jalapeno chicken sausage, a chunk of leftover cheese in the fridge. Hmm that sounds like a real flavor mash-up. Let's see what ends up on the plate!
L: I am tentatively grabbing a midday coffee with my mentor, so TBD. We haven't confirmed.
D: A Home Chef meal that looks like an impossible burger, kale, ricotta, tomato sauce pasta bake.
I have really had the same foods in the rotation (salmon, chicken thighs, chicken sausage, impossible burger, repeat) so I am hoping these Home Chef meals trigger my creativity.
I have a second QOTD if anyone reads this far. I am going to a BYOB party in early August. Bring Your Own Board! People make boards of cheese, charcuterie, smores, pickles...the sky is the limit! Any great board ideas from this board? (No Grim, I am NOT bringing a ham board!!!).
Em, I love the snackle boxes where people get fishing boxes and fill up all of the little compartments with charcuterie.

All your food sounds great. Some ideas that won't make your board party boring: Caprese skewers. Bo****ini, tiny basil leaves, cherry tomatoes on the tiny ****tail swords. Cut mozz & tomatoes in half. Keeping with your salmon theme, small brown bread rounds, whip cream cheese with garlic, slice smoked salmon & sprig of dill
