What's on your Monday Menu?
on 7/9/23 10:40 pm
Good Morning -Ish. I am posting this at 1:30am, so I am already a fail on the "short Monday". Instead of sleeping, my body thought a short power nap would be better so I have been up since 11:45pm. Not sure why--the party went off without a hitch and everyone had a great time. Phew! I can honestly say that while on the one hand it was not worth the crazy expense, on the other hand it was "priceless" to bring everyone together for a celebration of love. Big props to Grim for putting up with my madness for the last month.
QOTD: If you were enchanted by the spell from Beauty and the Beast, what household item would you be turned into? I am going to go with a whisk. Not only because my body type probably resembles a fat whisk right now, haha. The whisk is good at bringing ingredients together and it's is also flexible but sturdy.
Accountability: As you can probably imagine it was a high calorie day. I did my best to log it in MFP and it had to be over 3K, but who knows. It's crazy how fast it adds up - that was a week's worth of calories in a day.
Today I think I will try to stick to a mostly egg diet--it will help me detox from the carbs and sugar from yesterday and also because I don't have any other food and I have no desire to leave the house. Grim declared it to be "no pants Monday" and who am I to disobey?

Good morning all. It's supposed to rain here, hard, with a bunch of flood warnings, which makes it perfect for no pants Monday. Pants won't help you in a monsoon!
JB put together a fantastic party. Everyone had a wonderful time, and her mother seemed very happy. Your Queen has finally passed out after being on an adrenaline high all night, and I hope she sleeps for a while.
I'm out of ham. Don't tell the cat.
QOTD: I might be a rolling pin? Maybe a wooden spoon? I definitely wouldn't be electric.
Here's a picture of your fabulous Queen and jester from the festivities.
