Good morning!

QJB, I'm dying to see the party dresses and decorations. I love your creativity.

I'm home from the dreaded stairs. Today's time was 22.15 minutes with 4 stops to recover breathing so I didn't pass out. I need to beat 17.30 minutes with no stops to get back to my old time. But with my 22.15 minutes and my 20 minutes of walking I completed my 30 minute commitment to exercise today, so I can lay on the couch like a slug and not feel guilty. Not really, I have a doctor appt for my hormone implant and need to stop by a store. And maybe a shoe store. I really need new workout shoes. I've ordered like six pairs of casual/athletic shoes from Macy's to see what I like. I need to replace all my casual type shoes as I wore them out on the road trip, and now I'm gearing up for Greece in October. Blessed me.

QoTD: Just told Roger yesterday we need to get over to see my Dad. It's been three months and I'm missing him. And he's 87. I won't have the opportunity forever. Think that is happening in mid August.

Accountability yesterday included another 130 calories in chocolate. My weight has been climbing nearly every day since I started back to serious workouts 6-7 days a week. I'm waiting for everything to settle down. No way in hell I've eaten enough food to cause the weight gain. Yesterday I took an exercise break day and gained a pound overnight. I'm positive it will go away, just pissed off that my scale is up on a day I have to go to the doctor and they are going to weigh me.

Today's bites

B: 3 oz left over pork chop and tbsp of hummus

L: chickpea salad from TJ's and 1 serving salt pop chips

D: Ribeye steak, baby potatoes and salad. I'll have just a bit of Roger's steak. We are not cooking one for me.

Pictures are from my walk Tuesday. Top of Mt. Helix where I got above the cloud cover

Peace Everybody!

Such beautiful views.
Give it 3 weeks before counting on the scale to show the correct number. When you start exercising your muscles are tearing and in order to repair they retain water.
When I started with this new program after the first two weeks I gained 2 lbs. I was so miffed I emailed the coach. She calmed me down and explained everything. Thank goodness we had taken measurements. Now the scale is going down (very slowly) but I can see more changes in my body, not so much the weight.
