Good morning everybody!
So if you had both Jim is at the symphony and Sheila is at the Dead on your Bingo card for last weekend you can collect your winnings at the front desk.
In Vienna we saw this 19 year old conductor. Her name is Alma Duetcher, and she is an amazingly talented young woman. She started writing music when she was 3. I would highly recommend looking her up if you enjoy music. I think Marilyn is now following her on Instagram.
My plan today was to hike up North Table Mountain in Golden. At least until my son told me to ?wear long pants if you?re hiking alone because it?s snake season.?
First of all, I don?t have any long pants with me, and second of all, nope. I had no idea that snake season was a thing. It looks like the new plan is to work out in the hotel gym and read by the pool.
I got to see my son yesterday. We had a late lunch. His classes seem to be going well. He is taking the same Data Structures programming class that I remember Marilyn taking when we were young. Hopefully today we can grab lunch or dinner as well.
QOTD: I would probably make a better side story on someone else?s show.
breakfast: yesterday I got the hotel buffet and paid $28 for an RNY portion, so I think I will just go to Panera
lunch: leftover brisket and Mac and cheese
dinner: TBD with my son
Have a great day, all!

This is actually cool.
Our hosts in Boulder told us the same thing about snakes. When we smiled as in no big deal, they proceeded to tell us how she, a native Coloradan, was bit by a rattle snake when she was a kid on her hike. That woke us up to the fact that the snakes in CO are not the garden variety.

Did you guys see Colorado School of Mines when you were in Golden? The big M on the mountain are rocks that each freshman brings from their hometown. They have a celebration where they each get a hard hat and bring the rocks up the mountain and they are painted. At graduation they go back up and get a different rock to keep on their desks when they are out working.
Also, their diploma is printed on silver rather than paper.

We saw the M, but didn't know the story. Very cool. We were staying at the Table mountain Inn, that was practically next door to the school of Mine.
