We ended up not going there. It's good though, I've been before.

Good Morning! I am glad you got some rest, sorry about the chicken but I wouldn't have chanced it either. This week has me all messed up too. I ended up working about 3 hours yesterday so not bad and then it was some reading and watching tv. I don't remember the name of it right now but we watched a documentary about a lady who was set on fire by her boyfriend. It was a sad story but interesting to learn about the court case.
QOTD: Ok, I may get banned for this but when we were visiting John's friend they put on The Walking Dead for a few minutes and I was not a fan. It was the first episode of the newest series and they were trying to explain the back story to me and I just wasn't into it.

Not banned by me! I watched the first few seasons of WD and have zombie PTSD to this day.

Ha, we watched the first seasons or TWD at the beginning of the pandemic. I sort of liked the first few seasons because I thought the psychology of how people reacted was interesting, given the real current events. But once it became all survival and zombies I was bored.

I felt that after a time it became more about the human condition (how we treat each other when there are no laws/rules) as opposed to the zombies over the seasons. I admit that I watched most of the seasons quickly then took about a 3 year hiatus from watching. got bored one day and decided to finish out the seasons. Interesting final episode. I think the new series is the walking dead: dead city. I want to see it.

Yes, they don't go in on the gore and use the zombies sparingly

But the fungi kisses are as disturbing, although as you said used sparingly.
