What's on your Wednesday Menu?

Grim and Inigo don't believe me-- but I just don't like ham. He offered me some when I was in my hangry state but I refused it. Maybe if I wasn't still feeling a little queasy I might have taken it, but nothing sounded good.
Don't like ham? That's not possible. I you won't eat ham, you're just not hungry enough.

I wake up at the crack of dawn too ( sometimes before ) . Its my best time for planning the day and working and researching- I'm basically mentally shot by the time I return home 8 or 9 at nite.
Here are shots of the apartments I'm waiting to hear from, the one that accepted me and the one that rejected me but which I pray ? is reconsidering . Going to see one more today. Considering I only have ten business days to move this is getting WAY too exciting lol.
Food has been pretty crazy.
Driving around in Manhattan all day means I constantly go by favorite food places which of course means I have to stop and get .
I'm such a picky eater that I literally will only eat what pops into my head that minute ... and can only hold down five bites . So theres a lot of excess food that goes to the pets ... huge food bills ...not pretty.
Grazing constantly also is driving me crazy ? . Im both not losing weight and choosing over and over again to eat when I'm not hungry. Yet I can't seem to be able to make myself wait for mealtimes- actual hunger feels extremely frightening as does waiting to eat .
Exercise for now is walking from my car to work and appointments. Since its Manhattan that usually means walking a few blocks each time - my body is responding well to that.

Isn't it interesting how we are picky eaters and still managed to eat enough to need weight loss surgery? My biggest kyrptonite was pasta, especially potato gnocchi. I would walk away from most foods, but could keep eating pastas and never felt really full.

I've been cooking for my family all week and one of the first dishes was gnocchi with Italian sausage and spinach. SF had never had it before and has now requested the recipe. I've turned him to the dark side. Darned delicious potatoes.

I found a brand that tastes great to me. Gia Russa potato gnocchi. Making it from flour and potatoes is a lot of work. Gia Russa started in Youngstown, Ohio and was run by a family. Their standards are very high and I believe they produce the most authentic Italian foods anywhere. You can buy it on Amazon at very inflated prices. but I get it local and it is fresh and about $2 a pound.

Oh, interesting! Gia Russa is definitely a brand I buy...my local Walmart sells their gnocchi but it has "product of Italy " stamped on it. Maybe they started sourcing some of their product from there.
I'd love to make gnocchi from scratch but never tried. I bet the fresh ones you have nearby are much better than anything that comes off a shelf.
