Morning Kids! Happy 4th. I hope most people get to chill and take time off today. It's just a normal day for me. Literally nothing going on here.

Yesterday mid-day I started to eat my lunch and after a few minutes I got hit with an overwhelming bout of nausea and then started vomiting within minutes. I still feel a little "off" and I am not ready to post a menu because the idea of food is not appealing. It's not how I wanted to keep my calories low, but hey, I'll take it.

QOTD: Can you buy fireworks where you live? They are illegal here in MA but they are legal in NH & RI--less than an hour in either direction, so it doesn't seem to stop anyone here from getting them.

No menu. Need to hydrate and hopefully get back to normal.

Good morning QJB and menuers,

Well thats no way to spend the day. Wishing you a speedy recovery today.

QOTD- I've seen tents, so I think so? Not sure if they're just sparklers and firecrackers or aerial.

I'm in Georgia with the family. I ended up leaving at about 9pm Friday and booking it the best I could. Everyone seems to be traveling. Glad to be here.

I've been granted sole control of the kitchen while here and it's been a blast to share my excitement for hobby cooking with someone. I'm also using time to step in and do things my mom can't that have been bothering her, like scrubbing out the birdbath. She's been feeding the birds and critters here for 15 years and worries if she can't get it done.

Today's menu is a thick slice of brioche French toast, mustard sauce roasted or poached flounder with a couple bites of lemon rice and asparagus, and kofta with all the things. I'll also start working on their special request lamb roast today for tomorrow.

Dog walking time! Probably followed by family Animal Crossing time, which has been interesting.

Cheers, folks. Have a great day however you choose to celebrate!

Good mornin everyone! Happy 4th! Hope you continue to feel better QJB!

We're having a mini BBQ here this evening with my brother and his bunch. Just hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage and sides. Seems like a lot of food though since I still can't consume most of it. Not that I ate that much to begin with! I have to make a trifle later this morning. I feel pretty ok right now and I slept really well for once.

I've been dealing with more intense tremors since this whole thing started. I shake like a leaf and it's getting annoying. When they did my ekg they had to put weights on me to get it to be ok. Just weird stuff. The snow cone maker is a hit and I had three cups of ice yesterday. I will prob have the same today.

QOTD: they are illegal to have in city limits. BUT at every road at the city limits has stands that sell all kinds of crap. Our neighbors do enough stuff that we don't need to see the city fireworks downtown that were last night. The illegal to possess in city limits stops no one here.

Food is still iffy. I am doing a protein shake right now.

Good morning all. Happy 4th! We got nothing, just the usual day. It's supposed to rain most of the day. Maybe it will keep most of the idjits from burning stuff down.

QOTD: In NH, residents need a permit from their local fire department to buy fireworks, but non-residents don't need permits. They aren't allowed to set them off up there though. And they have 24 hours to take them back out of state.

When they first legalized them, shops set up just over the state line, usually in tents, to sell to people from Massachusetts. And MA state troopers watched with binoculars and pulled them over when they drove back over the line.

Good morning!

Happy Fourth of July and Happy birthday America. It's been a challenging few years, but I'm still very glad I won the birth lottery and was born right here.

I had a very successful and productive day yesterday and looking for more today. I'm off for a hike and stairs at Mt. Helix and Amphitheater. I am going to walk up the big hill from the parking lot and do the stairs in the amphitheater three times. Then off to TJ's to get some flowers for our hostess this afternoon.

QoTD: No. Not at all. Doesn't mean that brown dog did not have a miserable night last night. We'll keep him close tonight.

Bites:

B: one egg and tomato bake

L: leftover beef fajitas

D: TBD going to my besties house. But she always takes care to have something I can handle. And wine.

Peace Everybody!

Good morning ~ It's funny how we take getting sick as calorie win - but it's true, lol. I hope you feel better. It's weird having a Tuesday off but I'll take it. We were going to go to my sisters for a BBQ, but decided to stay home instead. We'll BBQ here and just chill - I'm down with that just fine - besides, the fur babies need us home.

QOTD - We have the 'safe and sane' fireworks so nothing that goes in the air, but you'd never know that around here. Ton's of illegal FW's from Mexico and bordering states.

Accountability - Wine last night. I got no bidness at this point in my journey and I need to do better.

Today's planned eats:

Happy 4th - stay safe everyone!!
