What's on your Monday Menu?

I totally agree - my eyeballing days got me here, along with my WTH days.

Yeah. One time, a nutritionist was extolling the virtues of "intuitive eating," and my eyeballs rolled right out of my head. Intuitive eating got me onto the operating table.

YES! I've tried IE and it really messed with my mind, but my inner fat girl was in heaven. Am I hungry? Yes, always.

Darn RH!

It was awful and I still don't have a clue what I did to deserve that hell!

Good morning all and Happy Monday,

The rain. Ugh! My place flooded badly last night and my CPAP got the worst of it. I'll have to see if it's dead or just needs a new power source. I may have to file a claim. I was driving back from Michigan yesterday through the eye of the storm. I didn't melt. All of the items ruined are just stuff that can be replaced.

Life is good.

QOTD v2 - What are you getting America for her birthday this year? She old and wants a Barbie dream house that she never got as a kid.

QOTD- I will not go to see any fireworks. I will be busy playing my favorite game, 'gunshot or fireworks?'

The only thing worse than a flood is a fire. I hope you can salvage things.

Oh man, a flood? Sorry to hear that. I agree - it's just stuff. Hang in there.

Matt, I am so sorry about the flooding. You are right that it is just things. One of the books I read about downsizing and decluttering recommended taking pictures of the things that are sentimental and then passing these things on to someone else. I went from three bedrooms, basement, attic, and garage to a condo with two bedrooms and a small storage cabinet in the carport. I sold and gave away so much stuff. I found out I rarely miss anything and replace it if I find I don't want to live without it.

One of the things I had was a cabinet full of dishes that my sister gave me when she downsized from a house to an apartment. I was worried about her being upset that I would no longer be able to keep them. When I finally told her she said she had forgotten that she ever had them. We spend so much of our time and energy storing things that we might need someday. The important thing in life is people and being happy. Everything else is just things.
