Morning all! We made it to NC and only tried to kill each other once.
We had fun at the ball game and the BBQ dinner was divine.
No plans today. Lazy wander day until we check into our AirBnB at 4.
QOTD: where will you never go again? Right now I?m inclined to say Virginia. It was a miserable stretch of rain and bad drivers. I can also add Bob Evans to the list. That still stands as the worst restaurant meal I?ve been served in decades.
Literally no idea on food. I?m drinking hotel lobby coffee now and I have some leftover brisket upstairs. The rest of the day is TBD.

Good morning QJB and menuers!
Glad you made it with minimal collateral damage. I always think traveling together is a good compatability check with people I know.
QOTD - I had the worst experience in Prague back in like 2006. Turned me off the Czech Republic at the time and I haven't been back to reassess.
Day two of a work conference today so I'm heading in. Can only get done what can be done.
Menu - Breakfast was an English muffin with turkey and cheddar. Second breakfast will be protein at the hotel. Elevensies is a protein bar. Hotel lunch. Taco leftovers!
Have a great day.

Morning menuers! We're thinking of staying in North Carolina. It's nice. The day before we left a friend who went to college dow here recommended a BBQ place. Years later, he even remembered their hours. I had a great rack of ribs, and have a piece of 10 layer cake for a snack today. We went to a ballgame last night in a beautiful park. I had a plate of bacon for breakfast. Now I'm going to take a nap before checkout time. What's not to like?

Good morning.
Life is interesting. I have something stuck inside my small intestine. I either have btypeof beozar or twisted intestine. I'm drinking liquids and taking digestive enzymes. Liquids go through, but solids are coming up. Solids I ate over 12 hrs ago. The food is not stuck in my pouch.
Qotd: Dominican Republic or Haiti. Very depressing. And any Concentration Camp. When visiting Poland over 20 years ago a friend wanted to go. Reluctantly I took him to Oswiencim (Auschwitz). I still can recall images from there as sharp as the day I was there. Keith and I are going to Poland, but I won't take him there. Thankfully he really doesn't want to go to see it.
Menu:
Liquids, lots of liquids...

I read everything about concentration camps and there was a time when I would have wanted to see one. At the time, I thought that there could never again be so much evil in the world. I grew up in the 1950's and knew people who had been in the camps. Now I know that there will always be evil people. The Polish people and others suffered so much. We need to be aware that it could happen again.
