Awesome NSV on the clothing!! I love a great deal. I was on Zulily yesterday and found some sandals for $9.99. I had to purchase them, of course!

I haven't been on there yet. If I look...might buy something! And yep. Until I end up stable, I'm not buying full price clothes except underthings. I think my band size and such is as small as it can get!

Wow QJB! Im impressed with your output yesterday! Damn girl! Also, you're leaving on your road trip at 2 am?! I've never left that early. Get the Diet Coke and QJB sized Yeti queued up!

Im in New Jersey for a quick visit with a friend and her husband. Today we are going to the Jersey Shore! I'm so excited to just go relax under an umbrella all day. We had SO much fun yesterday. I mean, is this not evidence of being middle aged? We went to a Greek place for lunch and shared like 7 things, then went to Costco (I splurged on Dungeness crab) and Total Wine, and came home and sat out back and caught up. Her husband is a trained chef so dinner was crab and asparagus salad and fettuccine with shrimp and garlic and shallot. Yummo.

QOTD: i worked at the Volkswagen headquarters in marketing from 2002-2010 and was fiercely loyal. I left there with a VW that was a total city car - low mileage and lots of dents. Prior to that my family had lots of Hondas and in college I leased a Toyota Corolla (for price). Now I'm driving an older model Mercedes. Maybe I could be a Mercedes person if I weren't allergic to such high car payments haha. Not sure what my next car will be. But I agree that most people stay with their car brand. Being from Detroit many of my friends work in automotive and stick to their brand, that's for sure.

Todays eats are pretty unplanned. We have some crab and some Greek food leftover so I'm assuming that's breakfast. Lunch will be at the shore. Dinner tbd. Maybe on the way home?

What she's not saying about her productive day is that I was gone for much of it. I guess that makes me a pleasant distraction.

When we head south, it's all about what time we'll hit New York City and the GW Bridge. If we go later we'll be stuck in morning rush hour traffic. Ugh. We're hoping to get past all that before it gets busy. Plus, we'll get where we're going earlier, and have more fun.

I'm impressed! I'd eat a gummy and take a Benadryl and get in bed at 6 pm if I had to leave at 2 am! But I hear ya on timing the NYC traffic. DC is the same way. A drive Can be half an hour or 2.5 hours, depending on time of day.

Let's be honest - you're just excited to go work with weird tools around a group of other tools people! Toolworkers? Toolies? Do y'all have a name?

I'm hoping we'll be too early for New York, and too late for DC.

We also don't have a strict timeline. Get up, do anything that needs doing, and hit the road, but there's no anxiety or rush. Road trips should be fun.

While driving over the GW bridge, take a moment to imagine us in our 32 foot mother home with a tow vehicle. I know you've done it a million times, but think big class A and look at the tops of those bridges leading it up to it. I am still not recovered...
