What's on your Tuesday Menu?

^^Yep that is me - tiny arms but I do have a grabber, so just try to stop me!^^
Hello Hello and Happy Tuesday. Damn I got a lot done yesterday. I did a serious speed-read of 4 textbook chapters, finished writing 2 small papers, wrote three quarters of a larger case study, a quarter of another small paper, and more than half of another research paper. Plus I made more dough to freeze and decorated 30 cookies. Phew. Today I need to repeat that amount of school work, and replace the cookie stuff with packing and cleaning. Hoping to go to bed nice and early because we want to be on the road by 2am.
BTW if I haven't posted by 3am tomorrow, go ahead and start it.
QOTD: Are you brand loyal to your car company? I read in one of my textbooks that people are more brand-loyal with their cars than any other product (i.e. if your last car was a Toyota, you are more likely to get another Toyota next time). I didn't think I was because I have had so many one-off used cars, but actually my last three new cars have been Kias so I guess I am. Huh.
B: protein coffee & eggs
L: steak
D: chicken

Good morning QJB and menuers,
Wow, just reading that made me tired! You rocked it.
QOTD- I am now. Love my prius. Before this, nope. My first car was an 86 Ford Thunderbird. I had a 93 Taurus, a 03 Dodge Stratus and then this car for the last 11 years. By far the longest and most dependable. For the first two my qualifiers were...do I have the money to buy it and does it run? The Thunderbird came from a Del Taco parking lot. The third was Carmax and I was flabbergasted that a car could cost $10k. Ah, to be younger and that naive again!
Another day, more work. Woo! Tomorrow and Thursday are office days, do that will be fun. More people in town. Just making it through! Yesterday after getting up I decided to clean and that went well. I'm bloated and retaining everything though so makes it feel like I'm moving in a pool or something.
When I called, HVAC guy was basically right up the road and came out to crawl around under my house. Much respect. Turns out the damage isn't as bad as it might be and he's going to get me quotes.
Pest control is coming today and I don't know if he can fit in my crawl space...but I need him to for the critter. There is a pile of insulation where critter is getting ready to do something, so it needs to go.
Got to water plants. It's supposed to be in the escalating 90's the foreseeable future with little rain in sight. I hope it's not as bad as last summer. I don't want to lose more trees.
Accountability- I had chicken enchilada casserole for three meals.
Exercise - Recumbent bike.
Menu - more casserole, turkey on an English muffin, leftover wonderful asparagus, roast beef on half a slice of sourdough with cheese. Or maybe horseradish.
Oh, there's this. I couldn't try it on because it was 6am, so I left the tat on to try at home. $11 clearance! Vanity sizes or not, this is the first single digit clothing item I've ever been able to pour myself into. Happy Tuesday!

I also had a 93 Taurus. Wagon. I drove that until they literally put it right into the crusher. Was was driving almost 200 miles a day, every single day.

I think my Taurus was a 1994, light blue in color. We didn't have it very long because we took a travel nursing position (temporary RN work assignments that generally lasted 12 weeks in different locations across the US). We needed more room for the stuff we needed (clothes, linens, etc.-no furniture) to go with us. We purchased a gas guzzling chevy step side truck in its place. We didn't keep that one long either since it wasn't gas efficient. Next came the Aerostar van, which we did keep for quite a while and really liked.

Must have been a very reliable car! They seemed to be either really good or really bad with no om between! I kept a crate of oil, water, and any other fluid the car might need in the trunk.

GM management was devastated when Taurus came out. It had style, quality, and people loved it. GM did not really have anything to compete with it in the price range and did not want GM people to drive one. I used to wish I could have owned one but knew it would not be a smart move for me as a GM employee.

Thanks! I remember you once saying you'd bought a bunch of clothes once you reached a certain size...then you lost more. I didn't have a bunch but with the health-related rapid weight loss...nothing fit for wearing outside of the house. I've now picked up three pairs of slacks-like pants from Walmart to get me by in the office, along with these jeans.
Color me shocked that I could get into this junior-sized stuff. Especially since when I say pour myself into...I mean it with all the skin and such. Hopefully someone else has felt that pain!
