I should have known better! Lol. And if Kean is one and done, I'm just going to admire it from afar and through your photos! Eeeeek.

I am not afraid of heights, but would be afraid of that cliff. You are brave.

Mornin' All!

this is a quickie since I have my annual (virtual) appt with my bariatric clinic in 12 minutes. they have a new dietitian. I'm hoping she's a little more amenable to my tracking and calorie counting - it drove the last one nuts (who was a big time intuitive eating fan). I "see" her at 11:00, and the PA at 10:30.

other than that, I have a TON of stuff to do before I leave for Scandinavia next Wednesday - plus classes started today. One on biological anthropology taught by the internationally-known evolutionary anthropologist John Hawks, and the other a sociology classed called "Framing Fatness". Both online. I think I'm going to love both.

QOTD: Nowadays I mostly go as needed - which is about 3x a week.

B: protein oatmeal topped with 1/2 C high protein Greek yogurt (plain) and 1/2 C mixed fruit. Coffee with half & half

L; hummus sandwich with tomato slices

AS: protein muffin or Ratio yogurt

D: ?? I might make zucchini gratin again - or SOMETHING with my last two remaining zucchinis...

have a great day, everyone!!

Good morning. It's officially the start of our last week on the road. Sad, not sad. Excited to be home, not excited. It's been quite the adventure. We had an amazing time with Amy and Rob. Photos on Friday. We toodled off to what we thought was Santa Barbara, CA and ended up with Santa Barbara County. So all my bike riding plans are out the window. It's a 15-20 drive to the trails and we can't transport the bikes on my car. So that popped my bubble. We're here for 4 days. Need to find things to do, but will definitely get into S.B city area and enjoy the wharf and the downtown strolling area. Yesterday was a success with moving and really setting up camp. Including getting the rug out, the bbq, the chairs...and we grilled delicious beef fajitas last night. I'm headed out for a walk around the campground shortly. I will exercise every day this week, dammit. Need to Re establish routine and own it. I was hoping to use the trail here, but it's under going a nature and assisted rehab and you have to bushwhack through tons of poison oak. No thank you. And there should be reading in the sunshine.

QoTD: I need to be in the grocery store for inspiration. I have three shops I love and I usually get to one or two a week.

bites today

B. Leftover fajita innards and some cottage cheese

L. Maybe in town, if not deli truant fontina cheese

D. Chex mix flavored cheeseburgers and a couple tater tots.

Peace Everybody

I loved that you shared all of your adventures with our group and even saw some of the members. You made the trip that many of us plan to do someday, but it never happens for most of us.

QJB-What was the good book you read? I will look into the show you recommended. Happy you and Grim had a nice weekend.

Off today. I will work in the office tomorrow then Wednesday I am heading to Montana for stay with my mom for 10 days plus my nephew's wedding. Should be a nice time. I am hoping for my mom with be able to be on her own at the end of the 10 days. By then she will have been home from rehab for 3-4 weeks. I will work remotely while I am in Montana so not to use PTO.

QOTD: Since I do alot of fresh veggies and fruits I do an pickup order every week. I rarely go into the store since I started doing the pickup. I think it does save me time but it never fails that one of my family asks for something after I am no longer able to modify the order. Hello? I asked what you wanted on the list! I do a Costco run for stuff maybe every 3 weeks.

Same meals

E: weights (back, rear delts, biceps), inferno hot Pilates with weights and bands

I read The Nest. It's sort of like a middle class suburban version of Succession.
