Captain Porky' is a magical, seaworthy swine sailing the seven seas of cheese - Seriously though, it's owned by a Greek family with Dino as the Patriarch. They started out as a watering hole called The Shanty. You won't find ham there but you will find decent, but not destination, BBQ. They have a way with the fryer and fresh fish and that's the way to go. They use gulf shrimp and that's the best thing there. They own a farm in Wisconsin that has goats. They make their own goat cheese from it for the cheese sticks. They import their own olive oil from their farm in Greece. They forage for hen of the woods mushrooms and fry those up.
It's a hidden gem in Wadsworth and I encourage anyone in the area to stop. See the Pyramid house while you're out that way for another roadside attraction.

Woodman's is 100x better on price. I like Woodman's selection better since it reflects the lower price point. Mars Cheese Castle will be always be a stop for sentimental value and their cheese bread. They make a ring of cheddar cheese into the loaf of bread. It's unique and very delicious when served warm with butter.
Can you recommend any Wisconsin purveyors and specific types of cheeses they excel in that are available close to the WI/IL border?

I asked my Wisconsin raised BFF why she never told me there was a cheese castle and her response was "didn't you just assume there would be one". In truth I should have!

Good Morning! Yay for the weekend off! I had a relaxing weekend and hopefully I'm ready for the week that starts out busy with check distribution day tomorrow. We watched that series either last weekend or the weekend before and yeah it is nuts!

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,
QJB sounds like things are moving right along. Good for you girl. I have and Aldi outfit and a Giant Eagle (local grocery) workout jacket. I also wear my Reese's hoody when I run if it is under 50°. I am the one who buys the t-shirt at every dinner or fun unique place we visit on trips.
Weekend was too short as always. My Sams club membership is running out on July 11th, and I do not think I am going to renew. I checked into it, and it is way more expensive than I want to pay. The only must have has been my Clear Lax and I can have my DB pick it up. I did stock up on 6 that should last me till January. I did do my HITT class and ran all weekend. So doing good when it comes to moving.
QOTD: I am an as needed. I am at Aldi about 2x a week if not more. Speaking of Aldi run to get this treat if you have one near you.
