Good morning all. Happy Monday. I recommend no****ching Natalia Grace, unless you are truly in love with that genre. Which I am not.

It's always a nice weekend when the Sox sweep the Yankees!

QOTD: I go as needed. Yesterday's supermarket run was 20 2-liter bottles of soda and and a can of baking powder. I usually stock up on whatever is on sale.

I cooked a bottom round roast yesterday in the Instantpot. It's a pretty tough cut when cooked in the oven. But it was very tender in the pressure cooker, like a really good brisket. Highly recommended.

It was delish and I forgot we have leftovers, so I'm amending my menu to replace one of the veggie burgers for meat!

I do a bottom round in the pressure cooker with a package of McCormick Au Jus and it is one of my best roasts. I also do a sauerbraten which marinates for three days first. Very flavorful and tender.

You got me with Sauerbraten. Do you use the Ginger Snaps?

I buy a bag of gingersnaps, use about eight or ten of them in the gravy and then never use the rest of the bag. But need that gingersnaps for the right taste of the gravy.

Good morning all and Happy Monday,

It's a beautiful day to be alive! The weekend was good. I had an amazing time with my childhood friend Friday. We were able to spend eight hours together but it seemed like 15 mins. An influential band from my formative years, Digable Planets, knocked it out of the park at the Taste of Randolph. It was fun being backstage in such an open air environment.

Father's Day was bittersweet since this is the first Father's Day without my Dad. My siblings and I shared memories in the morning. My sister and I drove up to the Wisconsin Border to make a couple stops that my Dad regularly made up to the cheddar curtain. We picked up lunch at Captain Porky's & stopped at the Mars Cheese Castle. Yes, a cheesecentric, fake castle actually exists. The cheese bread is unique and a specialty. https://chicago.eater.com/2017/6/13/15783686/mars-cheese-cas tle-interview-wisconsin-food-tourist-legend-highway-attracti on-i-94

QJB- Apparently, you didn't threaten Grim with a tantrum if you didn't get ice cream from the ice cream truck. If he new a childhood tantrum was a possibility for denying your right to sugar, he would've cleared out the inventory!

QOTD - I get groceries weekly today. I used to go every two weeks. When I first had WLS, I started picking up proteins & veggies every other day. I didn't know anything about meal planning.

Accountability- horrible. Fried shrimp, shrooms, goat cheese, onion rings. Macadamia nut cookies. Piece of stuffed pizza.

B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut, strawberries.

L: Boneless Chicken thigh, cilantro, grilled onion, lime, salsa, hit sauce.

D: Lamb Chops & asparagus.

HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 217 2 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm looking for a new surgeon.

It sounds like you found a good way to honor your father on Father's Day.
