G'morning all!
Haha, the meme. I go to bed thinking about my first coffee the morning after. It gives me a fuzzy happy feeling.
Thank you all for your advice how to up my carbs without wrecking my cals intake. I bought red potatoes and sweet potatoes and will attempt to air fry them today. I also got a ton of veggies (cucumbers, bell peppers, spinach, etc) as side dishes. It's weird when you get used to eat a certain way you don't even look for the other stuff at the grocery store. Yesterday I was so excited about the cucumbers. I have also made a rolled oat to have it today, I added protein powder to it. Would you guys believe I have never had rolled oats? Today is another high carb day.
QOTD: in comparison to US distances I don't think I have done long road trips. I just looked online to compare mileage. For skiing trips (Pisa to the Alps) it was around 300 miles each way. One of my most memorable road trips was with my brother from Pisa to Biarritz which is about 750 miles.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee
- Left over crockpot salsa chicken, roasted corn & pinto beans
- Protein pudding, mini cucumbers (5-6), golden berries, homemade froyo (frozen berries & PP)
- Hb egg & Parmesan cheese
- E: 5.75 miles wog, + 1/2 hr weights
Happy jr Fri-yay!

Thanks. I'll try that.
Today I might make my version of TJ tzatziki, with just Fage yogurt and cucumbers and lots of spices.

Got to say, I personally love it when food I shouldn't be eating becomes invisible. I'm never a good person in town to ask about restaurants since I'm always surprised to learn what there is.
Glad you found some carbs that can help! Sweet potatoes sound amazing.

Good morning! Today we are in Buellton, CA and planning on going to an adorable little town Los Olivos for shopping, wandering and lunch and then spend a couple hours in Solvang this afternoon. Yesterday was easy and we had an amazing lunch. Food porn stuff. I had Chinese bbq pork and a mushroom reduction with some sort of carrot polenta. I had to MAKE myself stop eating because I knew I should be full. But my mouth just kept begging for more. My mind won out and I have plenty for leftovers today. Yeah, that is so happening. Roger choose a Gorgonzola, apple and bacon pizza. He's getting his leftovers for breakfast with a fried egg on top.
QoTD: Ignoring the obvious (we are currently up to about 7400 miles), many years ago my daughter was off visiting my parents and we took the boys out for breakfast on the Saturday morning of a three day weekend. When we got back in the car, Roger jokingly said "if we right we go to the beach, if we go left we go to Vegas, if we turn around we head home". We all yelled Vegas and off we went. We stopped at a Target and bought us each a toothbrush, new undies and socks and drove the 5 hours to Vegas. Finally found a hotel, spent the night, had a great time and drive back the next day. I still think that's the reason my oldest ended up in Vegas for a career.
bites today
B. Left over Chinese bbq pork and mushrooms
L. Probably out, so not sure

Wonderful story.
My dad loved driving. He did a lot of it for work. He also loved breakfast. My mom and him would go visit places on a whim, like the Grand Old Opry. I'm not sure they ever went inside though. Just drove, had breakfast, came home.
