I'm getting together with one of my oldest friends tonight. I have no clue what we're going to do but we always have a great time regardless.
QOTD- My longest road trips have to be Colorado. I have done it multiple times driving straight through the night.

It feels like every year older I get, I lose 15 minutes per night for driving ability. Totally agree driving through the night is great...the cranky old woman in me still wants to be in bed by 9 and struggles with depth perception after dark.

The think I always notice about that drive from CO to IL via Nebraska and Iowa is the sheer volume of roadkill; we joke that even the animals want to escape.

Oh no the worst is through South Dakota. Miles and miles and miles of nothing but flat uninteresting terrain. One time we drove through during a lightning storm which was initially awesome until it just wouldn't let up. The constant flashes across the sky was distracting.
