Gooood Morning Friends! Let's throw out a little Tuesday Morning energy to get this day started! Whoo! Well despite better our judgment, we rallied and went to the Sox game last night. Yay for bad judgment! We were tied in the 9th inning when it started to rain so we bailed at that point.

Of course, I had been worried about Grim and his bad cold, but it turns out I was the one who we should have been worried about. Too much walking and cramped seats where I couldn't straighten my leg made the whole knee swell up again. My entire leg down to my toes is completely swollen, and this morning my foot is still not "foot-shaped" -- even with a night of sleeping with it in the air.

And yes I know, I need the MRI... but I can't do anything about it until the semester ends anyway, so my plan is to get an MRI in August so that I can schedule whatever surgery I need for right after I finish school but before I start working. Meanwhile, I just need to force myself off of it for real. Starting...now!

QOTD: Have you ever pitched or even thrown out the first pitch at a game? I haven't. I played softball for one season but they never let me throw. It's funny because on tv it really doesn't seem like it would be that hard, but in real life, that mound is pretty far away from home base. I can't imagine getting it that far, let alone doing it 100 times in a few hours.

Accountability: What's that? If you have been around here long enough you have heard Grim and I drool over our favorite restaurant in Boston where they make famous Texas style biscuits. We went there before the game and... YUM! I only managed to eat about 3/4 of the biscuit before my pouch closed up, but we brought leftovers home and I fully intend to try again today. These things are to die for. I'll try to make up for it with better choices the rest of the day.

B: Protein Coffee & biscuit

L: Turkey & cheese roll up

D: veggie burger

Good mornin everyone! QJB, so sorry to hear about your leg. That just sucks so much and I'm sorry you're having to deal with it. Hope you get a little relief by keeping it rested.

Yesterday was quite awful. At my appointment I felt like a failure with the surgeon even though he is really nice about things. I however like to kick my own ass. Then the nurse forgot about me waiting to be let out. So I was weepy after that. When I got to the car some asshat left a really snarky comment on a FB post accusing me of some stupid crap in the chainmaille group. After I replied to him he deleted his comment. My friends stood up for me which did lift my spirits some. I did a big ugly cry though. Just too much for me in one day.

I have an appointment on the phone today. Other than that not a lot planned. I do plan on having CNN on this afternoon...

QOTD: not really. Playing as a kid I did throw but I doubt I made it to the plate lol

Thank you...unfortunately it went down the ****ter pretty early on. My mom mouthed off to the neighbors. She called the cops and aid my mom hoped their house would burn down...which she did not...I was in the room. My mom could've been arrested. I don't know what to do. My mom is losing her mind and I don't know how to address it. I can't be the only one to come at her about that. I need to have a talk with my brother.

Good morning QJB and menuers,

Will not nag. Hope you get some rest today! Glad you had a good time last night.

QOTD- Nope. No sportsball in my life. Coordination isn't my strong suit.

Made it to New Orleans. The flight was delayed over two hours due to weather, so we ran into part of our leadership team heading to Denver for a different conference. I got a lot of hugs, a couple admonishments, and warnings to take it easy. And eat. Everyone is trying to feed me!

Today I'll find a breakfast place. I do want Cafe Du Monde and keep forgetting they're cash only. There's at least $5 in my wallet...that means an ATM or hard choice! I've got a couple meetings today and a booked afternoon.

Oh, GI doctor called back and said they have a coupon for the Sutab to make if $40. I'd also asked them what I can do preventatively to keep from having another incident. They said to start Miralax once a day...and take senna. So when I told them yes and said...like Smooth Move tea...they had no idea what that was. I did pick up senna tablets last night and will supplement that today. I have Miralax with me in a cute, travel size bottle.

Accountability - Half a small cup of gumbo, pretzels on the plane. Struggling with feeling full right now.

Exercise - Walking today. It felt good to move more yesterday but I do fatigue easily.

Menu - No brekkie at this hotel so I will find a place today and then pick up a few supplies. Lunch and dinner are up in the air. L

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

I took miralax daily for years, now only occasionally.

Feels like I could buy stock in the company right now except I buy store brands. I'd backed off on it for a while and managed through diet but it's for a good cause, so I'll do it!

I get the generic kind, too. Costco is esp cheap (they sell two of the large ones online for $20-something - so like $12 each for a big bottle). For traveling, I pick up the one "serving" packets at Walgreens or CVS (not sure if Miralax has these, but the generic ones do). It's more expensive that way than a bottle, but it's very convenient for traveling.

I somehow just learned about the single serving packets from Chrissy today! I've already added them to my Walmart shopping cart. They have a generic, too. Much more convenient than lugging the small bottle with me.
