What's on your Monday Menu?
a dietitian I follow online (whom I think is based in Chicago) is always coming up with fun ideas for people. A few days ago she says she likes to mix a spoonful of peanut butter into vanilla (or plain) Greek yogurt and put that chocolate "shell" stuff on top that you'd usually put on ice cream (well I don't put that on ice cream, but some people do). Then you stick it in the freezer for awhile and then eat it. I tried that the other day, only I mixed in powdered peanut butter (PBFit) instead of the real thing, and put a good squirt of Hershey's chocolate syrup on the top. Hugely filling. I'll have to remember that...

Sadly, cottage cheese had been one of my go-to foods for months post-surgery and I'm now having a ton of trouble with it. Those two flavors seem highly contradictory in my mind but then, so were pineapple and cottage cheese until I tried that!

That's interesting. I think of cottage cheese as...neutral. I can use it in savory, sweet or inbetween just depending on what is in it. One of my favorites is with cinnamon and raisins, my other is baked on a thin slice of toast with italian seasoning.

Good mornin QJB and everyone. Hope you feel better soon Grim!
I have a follow up appointment for the colonoscopy and EGD this morning. Other than that I am just hoping for a good day. I'm really tired. Lately when I get out of bed it's tears and a proclamation of oh my god. It hurts that much. Hopefully today I'll talk to the nurse at the pain clinic. I think the damn catheter from the pain pump to my spine is out of the spinal area. It would make sense of it not helping much and having more side effects. That'll be brought up...another test for that I'm sure. It's just a dye test thing so it's not a big deal. I don't know what'll happen if it did come out. Probably a revision surgery to place it in the right spot.
Other than the appointment I have no idea what else today'll hold. My weight is back down a tad. We made spaghetti and chicken Alfredo yesterday. I had around 10 spaghetti noodles and just chicken from the alfredo. I did have a small piece of garlic bread but instantly regretted it lol.
QOTD: No...not really. My back has really thrown a wrench into every aspect of my life. I usd to be more so but not anymore at all...except for food!
B: chicken sausage and pancake on a stick and coffee x2
