Morning all! Ok, I am finally feeling a tad better. Still not great, but for the first time in a week I don't feel worse waking up than the day before. I appreciate everyone's calls for me to see a doctor, but I really think it's just the world's worst summer cold. It's not COVID and I don't have any indication that's there is an infection, and I can breathe okay so I guess it just needs to run its course.

And in other good news, I managed to meet all of my insane deadlines yesterday, even with two hearty naps! I still have a fair amount to do this week but I'm no longer worried about missing deadlines. If you are wondering how I got it all done -- it's because I have let everything else in my life fall to the wayside. The house is a total mess and I am not even a little bit ready for my cookie class on Sunday. Whoops. That will be today's problem.

QOTD: What's your Amazon habit look like? Every now and then I decide to try to curb my orders and I won't get anything for a few weeks. But inevitably I end up with weeks like this one, where there is a driver on our doorstep dropping something off every hour. Eep.

Good morning QJB and menuers,

On the mend is a good place to be, and very glad to hear it. Sometimes it's the rest and liquids and not much can be done outside of managing it. Hope you're able to get done what you need today!

QOTD- I look up things on Amazon but rarely buy these days. If I'm being honest a large part of it is because they ship through UPS, and the driver won't come to my house after getting one of the full-size delivery trucks mired in my yard one day. That was an adventure that involved a neighbor he called with a tractor to pull him out. He wants me to build a delivery box and just leaves packages on the ground at the end of the drive. So...not a fan. There's stuff in my cart I check in on in case of significant price drops.

Today there's a vendor in town. I'll be working in town tomorrow because of it. Few meetings and I'll cover my return to work plan with my boss. I am still scheduled to go to New Orleans Monday. I've had to make the case for it, so we'll see how it goes.

Accountability- Did okay for liquids. I ended up making a grilled half sandwich for lunch. Shaved chicken, fresh mozzarella, basil, sliced tomatoes. It was wonderful. But...I didn't eat much else outside of the morning English muffin.

Exercise - Yesterday's ended up being cleaning the glass topped stove. Today, back to some body weight exercises. Probably wall push-ups to see how that goes.

Menu- English muffin with chicken and cheese, protein chips, hopefully some homemade stock with picked meat, imitation crab, shrimp stir fry with some kind of sauce.

Have a good Thursday, everyone!

I would have to get the delivery box. I depend on Amazon for too many things now to give it up.

The vast majority of our stuff comes from Amazon itself, followed by a few USPS, and seldom UPS. There are more Amazon fulfillment centers around here than you can shake a stick at.

Haha, I love that! Makes sense based on where you are. :) nothing fulfilled directly like Amazon here. Ah, well.

Rudy Loves the Amazon drivers. If we are out walking they always take the time to give him a pet and sometimes a treat.

God, don't tell JB. She'll be waiting out at the sidewalk, thinking she can get her package AND a treat.
