What's on your Monday Menu?
G'morning all!
QJB - ugh! Summer cold or allergies? Both are yuck. Hope you bounce back rapido.
Great weekend. On Sat we celebrated a good friend's bday. I love her so much that my nickname for her is Sunshine, she truly is a ray of sunshine in our friendship. We were mostly in San Francisco, because the main event was Stacey Abrams' interview with Dan Pfeiffer. She is so smart and eloquent, I hope she gets elected in GA because she has not given up. We had dinner in a little Italian restaurant where I think I exaggerated on burrata because afterwards I felt bloated, but it was still worth it.
Sun was a low key day, meet up with friends. The wife knows about my sweet tooth and had baked this out of this world pound cake with some sort of nuts. I had not one but two slices and felt in heaven.
QOTD: I am snarky, but I don't think anything I write is out of the norm. After listening to Stacey Abrams we shouldn't give up on our system and actually try and get more involved in politics. I know I can't be elected Pres because I wasn't born in US, but I can be a mean chief of staff.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee & Amy's egg bites
- epic chicken
- Pound cake x 2 slices, yasso icecream
- Chicken pot pie (this always reminds me of the movie chicken run)
- E: cardio + weight (switched rest day between Sat & Sun)
Happy start of the week!

Good morning from a gorgeous Tillamook, Oregon. We are parked in a field at the Blue Heron French Cheese Company and enjoyed their baked Brie as our dinner last night. And wine. Of course there was wine. Roger is going to indulge in their bakery breakfast this morning while I eat a healthy breakfast of roast chicken and cottage cheese. I'm powering up for a hike to the waterfalls this morning. We are taking the dogs so the going may be slower than normal, but my upper arms will get a work out wrangling brown dog the whole way. They are great dogs, but I would not say their leash skills are advanced.
Grim, this picture is just for you. My breakfast the other morning at Quinn Hot Springs. Best ham we've ever had in our lives. This ended up being 6 meals by the time I was done with it.
QoTD. Not gonna lie. There may be a few death threats against Roger to my girlfriends, because, you know, venting. And a bit of mean girl snarks. But I'd bet my text history is tons nicer than say, a certain #45. So if he can do it so could I. But I do not want that job or any political job as my face does not do poker face well and I'd constantly be accused of flashing are you crazy faces or WTF is wrong with you looks.

I love this. I'm actually now wondering if I should plan this as a trip with my oldest nephew. He makes all the smoked cheeses for me
