Good Morning Friends! Well, I ended up with a few throat punches yesterday. I really overdid it on my knee which put me in a very bad mood. The pain was distracting and I couldn't get much done on schoolwork so I finally gave up. Then I tried on a bunch of new clothes I ordered and...UGH, I am fluffy. My final straw was a frustrating conversation with my mom about the party. She has so much anxiety over every detail and it's driving me absolutely nuts. On the plus side, we ended up going out to dinner and I have three big chicken fajitas leftover so yummy eats today.

QOTD: Do you have a video doorbell? Have you seen anything interesting on it? This morning's news showed a video doorbell that captured a car crash in front of someone's house in a quiet residential area--then subsequent shooting which looked like it was a road rage incident. Yikes! We have one but so far, it hasn't captured anything interesting. However, we also have a motion activated camera in the backyard and that one is wild. It's a wild animal super-highway back there. We have a steady stream of raccoons, possums, groundhogs, skunks, and cats. It's very fun to watch the crew make their nightly treks.

My Ring camera is inside my apartment building over my personal front door. All I see is the mailman, delivery people, and when the neighbors come and go. But it is there for that one time when there might be a stranger or incident. An outdoor backyard camera would be so much fun watching the animals at night. There are big fences behind me to keep the deer out. I know there is a lot of activity in the woods on the other side of that fence.

I am sorry that you are going through so much with the knee. If you completely don't use it, it will probably get "frozen". The trick now is to gently exercise it. For me, the recumbent bike is just what I need for knee pain, it lets me exercise without it becoming more painful. I had a lot of siblings to deal with my mother's issues. Try to just take it one day at a time. With planning for your parent's event and the baking and school work, your plate is really full. I hope everything gets better. Stress is so hard to deal with. Hang in there and enjoy your summer.

QJB - I am sorry your knee is bugging you; unfortunately, I thin****il it's fully healed, it might get angry at you any time you over do it. I hope you can have a good mix of recovery and movement. Are you counting down the days until the party is over? I would be and then planning a few weeks before I chatted to my mom again after, lol.

I was looking at kindle ebooks that are on special this morning and there is one called "Crafting with Cat Hair" -- it was only 99 cents in case anyone is interested.

QOTD - I do not but I have one friend who was out of town and noticed his neighbors house was on fire and was able to call the FD and the neighbor and they were able to all get out safely! My friend that lives in the foothills has an animal cam like yours and I love the videos of bears, mountain lions, etc that she shares.

I did pretty good getting some exercise in every day this week but now that I'm home I desperately need some cardio, and to go grocery shopping. This afternoon is also when the insurance adjustor and the roofer are supposed to be here together so hopefully it's a smooth but costly afternoon, lol.

Years ago I would attend a yearly auction up in NH. There was always a woman there with a small spinning wheel, and she would spend a few hours spinning her own yarn. Once, she was mixing in . . . odd stuff. She was spinning cat hair into the yarn.

Good luck with the insurance and roofer.

Making it into yarn is odd. Knitting it into something is weird. Wearing it is creepy.
