What's on your Monday Menu?
Your brother carries a grudge.
This reminded me of when DS was born, the first year or so when at each Dr appt they would track his weight and height. I was hoping they would tell me he is in the 90 percentile for height but nope, he was almost below 50 percentile. So I was whining to the Dr that I wanted my son taller. He deadpanned then you should have married a taller man. I carry that grudge too.

Grudge. That's funny.
When my younger brother was about 13, he had an xray for something. I forget what. The doctor said he would be about 5'9" or 5'10", and I thought the doctor was nuts. That's exactly how tall he ended up.

G'morning all!
Well here we are again on a beautiful Monday. Hope y'all had a great relaxing weekend and ready to tackle a new week. For me nothing better than a no plan weekend to make me excited for a new week.
QJB - Best of luck on your new/last semester. Break a leg!
As I said we had no plans for this weekend so it was pleasant and relaxing. I guess we are getting old, because at one point DH had to go to Costco for his glass prescription and asked me to go with him. The sign of old age is that we were both excited to go to Costco, although Costco on a Sat is just crazy. Anyway, we went just for glasses but came out with a cart full of food. I don't know about you guys, but a full fridge/freezer stresses me. I don't like food behind food in the fridge, I know I'm weird. DH loves opening the fridge and seeing it filled to the brim while for me it's stressful. Maybe it's because back home we had much smaller fridges and we would do our grocery shopping daily. All this food gives me anxiety that they will go bad. I have always been like this, even before WLS.
QOTD: I'm 5'5". Remember I come from an Italian family. My brothers were between 5'7" and 5'10", the taller one was considered really tall in Italy, while here is considered average. I never considered myself short until I came here; it doesn't help that two of my closest friends are both 5'10". See what I mean?
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee & banana bread
- Caldosa (crab ceviche w/quest chips)
- Pickled peanuts, crispy onion chips
- Goat Gouda cheese with grape tomatoes
- E: Rest Day
Happy start of the week!

I haven't had banana bread in a million years. Does it have walnuts? It has to have walnuts. And lots of butter.

No walnuts, this was a recipe I always made for my kids and they didn't want walnuts. But it has a lot of choc chips in it. My recipe makes 8 single portion little banana breads. If by butter you mean to spread butter on the banana bread, I'm not big on butter. But the recipe has 1/3 cup butter in it.

When you and QJB will finally come to visit I'll make it. You'll never go back to walnuts.

I think US clothes buyers or manufacturers' think most woman and 5'3"-5'5". I know my shorter friends have problems finding proper clothes as well as the toll ladies... And the shoes... I used to be size 9.5-10.. but now I'm 10-11. Some of my friends size 10+ have difficult time to find good shoes... Lately - I can get more "old woman shoes" (as in comfortable with arch support) in sizes 10.5-11. But mostly on line.
USA likes average size..

QOTD- I used to be 5'7" now I'm lucky to be 5'5". My Dad was 6'1", my Mom 5'1" now 4'10, and my brother is 6'.
I've been struggling with having any energy, I've watched more Netflix in the last weekend that probably the last month. I finally got my lawn mower put together and I love it. So quiet and does a great job. Now for the damn weeds....
Just wanted to say Hi and that I'm still alive...
