Good morning QJB and menuers!
Yep, that sounds like a great day! Always love to hear when things go well.
QOTD- Probably to be free of medical conditions! Benchmark, established! Ha.
Yesterday the GI team called me and tried to schedule me for another CT scan tomorrow. There was some urgency going on, so I stopped to question them. It was 4:45 and she just wanted to get it on the books. I told her I didn't come out of Monday's appointment with the understanding that this was imminent and asked her to verify. She was unhappy with me but I was right. They got the urgent referral about my issues the day before the ER visit, so I have to level set every time because things have happened since then.
Today is my PCP at 2pm. Should be a referral and I'm looking forward to it. Feels like progress!
Oh, I spent 30 minutes with my Doca pole chasing cows in the rain yesterday. Sigh. Though yay, rain!
Accountability- I did a stupid and had a tamale yesterday as soft food. The cramps were bad last night.
Exercise - Yesterday was cows and free weights. Today is still baby weights!
Menu - Last of the chicken and corn egg drop soup. It was surprisingly delicious reheated. Italian sausage gnocchi, going to try for what I remember as Red Lobster style broiled shrimp scampi. Baked fish with homemade tartar sauce, protein pudding. It's coming along! Cheers, everyone!

Mornin' Everyone!
All I have today (other than the usual biziollion items on my "to do" list) is a book launching for a friend of mine from 3:30-6:30. I don't buy books anymore (I'm a frequent patron of the library), but I should be nice and buy hers. I'm also planning to go to some kind of water fitness class later this morning since it'll be too windy to bike, and I need to make grasshopper pie for a social thingie tomorrow night. I made this a couple of parties ago because I wanted to make something very easy - and preferably something I'm not particularly wild about so I wouldn't eat all the leftovers. Well, there were no leftovers. My usual contribution is some interesting gourmet-type of thing, often a dish from another country, that I've poured over cookbooks and Web sites to find. And I've come home with half of it. But not that grasshopper pie. It's not really my thing at all - but there wasn't one crumb left of it. It was the hit of the party. Weird. So...I'm making it again. Easy peasy and I came home with an empty dish. Perfect.
QOTD: my wish would be not to have to struggle with my weight ever again.
B: protein shake, coffee with half & half
MS/L: the last piece of cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie with cranberry/cherry compote
AS: vanilla L&F yogurt topped with mixed fresh fruit salad (no dressing)
D: probably nothing because there'll be snacks at the book launching - and I'll have my AS right before so I won't go there hungry
have a great day, everyone!

I have a few books that aren't to my taste because I firmly believe if you can, if you have friend publish a book, you buy a copy. I did have a friend who put out an amazing photography book with really fancy metal plate images but it's price was 500 and I did not get that, but I have bought a lot of her art so I was still supportive. The book might have been cheaper after framing, lol.

I'd still appreciate your unique contributions to party food but glad you have a recipe that means no leftovers!

Good mornin everyone!
My pain pump is up in the air. The hydromorphone is going to be removed and we're going to try morphine one last time. I was having some crazy side effects from both but since the dosage for morphine never got high we're going to try it. If it doesn't work the pump will come out. I also still have to wear a binder...if the morphine works the second try I'll have to have a minor surgery to tie down the pump so I won't have to wear a binder. That'd be great. It hasn't even helped with the pain as of yet but the dosing has been pretty low.
Not a lot planned for the day. I didn't get a lot of sleep and I'm not feeling great.
QOTD: hmmm...I'd wish for my brothers house to be done and that they'd get some common sense!
I have no idea about food.

Good morning ~ Happy to hear you had perfect day! I loved the book fairs. I was rarely allowed to buy anything but I would pour over those flyers and dream big! I feel like focus and motivation are such effort lately so I'm changing things up to meet my goals. I used to love being busy, it was energizing and now it's just exhausting and my main goal is the recliner. I'm switching around my work and exercise schedule to shake things up. Heading into summer, I am looking forward to being more active and with more weight loss - heat tolerant!
QOTD - I love your answer! I'll say beautiful skin, head to toe.
Accountability - great
b - coffee, protein bar
l - just chicken
d - baked chicken thigh
e- cardio/weights/hydro
Have a wonderful day!
