What's on your Sunday menu?

word to that above!

yesterday wasn't quite what I had wished but it could of definitely been a worse day so I'll take what I can get. Today is a question mark. I have no idea what e'll do today. I think the only thing planned is to go trade in the grass thing for our drill.

This week is a somewhat busy one. I need to have a talk about some stuff with my mom. She is wanting to ramp up how much work we do on their house. I say we shouldn't even do what we do now. She just wants them out of our house but I can't take having to do much more. My body is wrecked from putting the trash bags into the tall trash collecting containers the city has out here. They are almost taller than me. I am so tired of these people and I want them out of our house too. BUT I don't want to sacrifice ourselves to get it done. Plus they should just do it themselves....PERIOD. I get my moms reasoning but if we do it all then it'll be just back to where it was in no time...sorry for the book!

QOTD: since it is Mother's Day here what is your go to gift for your mom?

this year I bought an outdoor metal chair for my mom. It's what she asked for and I got her some galaxy petunias. Not fancy but she doesn't care for cut flowers or cutesy stuff. We barely want to bring anything into our house right now.

Mornin' All!

it's going to be a cool, rainy day here is southern Wisconsin, so I'll probably spend most of it finishing up the last of my classes and working on the aforementioned server. I emailed my mother last night to ask what she wanted to do today - lunch? dinner? shopping? - and she wrote back this morning complaining about her arthritis (again...). And...that's it. So who knows. Hopefully she'll be up for doing something later so I won't feel like a big slacker or anything for not celebrating her day (but then, it's not like it'll be my fault...)

QOTD: the go-to gift for her for years was earrings, but we don't do gifts anymore. We're all trying to get rid of stuff. So now we usually just go out for dinner or something.

B: plain skyr with cranberry/cherry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: Ratio yogurt and last cup of celeriac soup

AS: not sure - depends on the mom situation

D: ditto

I made cottage cheese for my MIL last night because she loves it but is now on a low-sodium diet. I never salt my homemade cottage cheese, but then I usually make it into a chocolate "mousse" or eat it with some kind of fruit compote. I'll suggest she eat it with something like fruit - otherwise, I'm not sure if she'll like it without the salt. She gave us a carton of the commercial kind that she's had in her fridge since before she went to the hospital (and pre-sodium diet). I felt like I was licking a salt cube. So yea - this unsalted version will probably be an adjustment for her.

Good morning ~ Happy Mothers day! The dilemma of your family situation is tough - I can't even imagine the stress you are both under. Hang in there.

DS is sick with tonsil/laryngitis type thing (thankfully not strep) so he is laying low resting at home - he will be missed today. We are taking the dogs to the park this morning and golfing this afternoon. It's supposed to be sunny and 70ish which sounds perfect to me. In between will be laundry and organizing vitamins. Otherwise, Rob is doing yard work and grilling up some chicken and I'm relaxing.

Forgot QOTD -Usually it was flowers

B- coffee, protein cereal and FL milk

l - deli ham and cheese roll ups

d- grilled lemon dijon chicken breast

Have a wonderful Sunday-funday!

Good morning Mel and weekend menuers,

Happy Mother's Day to those of you who are mothers. I wish you all the best day.

Just got back from town. I dropped off a load of food at the community pantry and picked up a few planters for my new plants. If I have energy, I'll work on transplanting some of the little ones today. All the outdoor stuff still has to wait.

QOTD- We've moved away from too much material stuff in the last decade or so and more toward shared experiences and time together. They've let me know how much they appreciate traveling with me, and they'd love to keep doing it. So...I try to send her some pears from Harry and David since they're awesome, and maybe a Pandora charm. She has everything she wants or needs.

Menuers who are a bit farther out than me...does the fat ever redistribute to your derriere? Or are you able to work out to build muscle for padding, instead? I've had a couple reminders this last week of how little padding is there and I'm hoping there's work I can put in for improvement in the long run.

Menu - Had a protein shake, have some protein chips. I am thinking maybe shrimp scampi and baked fish. Plus some of that rice. A chomp stick. Blueberries. I still feel too full and it concerns me that things might not be moving the way they need to.

No, the fat did not redistribute there for me. At my lowest, I had a negative ass which is worse than flat. Get used to being uncomfortable or carry a cushion!

Got it! Time to build a relationship with all the bony protrusions! I was hoping. I'm still getting used to sleeping differently so my knees don't stack. Thanks!

Knees stay a thing, too. Even with my regain I have to offset them to avoid bone on bone.

You might be feeling fuller because you've added denser proteins back in. You could test easily by backing off to softer proteins again and seeing if there's a difference.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, I didn't get through a single day with the higher protein menu. Or the other day where I backed it off to yogurt and cottage cheese. Yesterday I went to protein snack food to get numbers in. Today I've had the protein shake and water...a lot of water so I don't get behind and to try and keep things moving. I'm sitting uncomfortably on the couch now like I binged a whole buffet from sipping about 15 ounces over an hour. I'm afraid to take Miralax right now after what happened last time.

I'm glad I have an appointment in the morning!
