hi all

QOTD: I prefer the top sheet then the quilt. sometimes the dogs get too excited and get between them which is not ok and I have to pull them out so they are laying on the bed properly.

today is no meeting friday but i will call two-three meetings- yes i'm breaking the rules but the week got away from me...

food is TBD, i have chicken that i need to cook in the fridge but also my mom is coming for the weekend and will be here about 4pm. we are going to family lunch tomorrow with one sister and maybe niece. maybe i will just cook the chicken and have it for my snacks today.

Mornin' All!

looks like rain today! It's supposed to be dry tomorrow but rain again on Sunday. I guess I'll be going to gym today since biking and walking are out (for Sunday, too!). I have one of my film groups over lunch today, but that's it. The rest of the day I'll be focusing on finishing my Asian Religions course before the prof takes the class page down (although some profs leave them up for a long time afterward - but I'm not going to bank on that).

I was approved to take the anthropology course this summer (it's on biological anthropology - by the evolution guy). Hopefully I'll hear about the soc class soon on obesity - although it doesn't start until mid-June, so it could be awhile. I'm not taking anything else - I don't want to get bogged down with classes again. Too much else going on...

QOTD: top sheet for sure. I don't mind having a blanket directly on me when I'm lying on my couch, but while I'm sleeping - no. That would drive me insane. Plus I almost never wash my blankets - I'd like to keep it that way!!

B: skyr with 1/2 mango, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: the film group meets at a restaurant. It's an Italian one this time. I'll probably get minestrone soup and salad - or else the half sandwich/soup combo. Anything else is too many calories - and the appetizers don't really fit into my plan (looked like mostly fried stuff)

AS: not sure I'll need anything because of the later/heavier than usual lunch, but if so, probably L&F yogurt

D: I might just have some microwavable thing - maybe Loma Linda taco filling topped with tomatoes, plain Greek yogurt, and salsa

I biked over to this coffee shop/yarn place yesterday. It's one of my favorite biking destinations. It's in one of the 'burbs, about seven miles from my house. The only time we really go there is in the summer, when we can bike over - and sit outside. Which we do A LOT!

after I finished my iced latte, I walked across the street to the Goodwill. Spotted this Anthrolopologie cashmere sweater and snapped it up. It's a bit too big on me, but...cashmere. Plus I kind of like my sweaters on the baggy side.

have a great day, everyone!

That is a good color for you and that looks like a quaint little coffee shop.

Good morning all. I may have found an issue in the flower bed. There was a tree stump there, long ago, that I mostly dug out. But when I was putting a couple of plants in yesterday there were a million teeny teeny tiny ants, and they were nibbling on my arm. Maybe they are there, eating the remains of long dead tree roots? And possibly my flower roots? Needless to say, they have to go.

QOTD: You guys have no idea what it's like, sleeping with this woman. It's chaos, absolute chaos. Imagine giving a pile of rope to a group of drunken cub scouts and telling them to tie knots. That's what a top sheet ends up like, underneath a blanket. I'd be like a steer in a rodeo, with all my arms and legs trussed up. I don't know how she does it. It's bad enough she can't put a blanket on straight -- there are stripes, for crying out loud. She's so tiny she's always covered, regardless. Put the stripes sideways instead of the long way and I've got two feet of legs uncovered all night.

No, the only way to keep from being trapped in bed, unable to move, is banish the top sheet. I'm fine if it's warm enough that you can use it instead of a blanket. But no extra layer. Nuh uh.

Ham is on sale at Market Basket, so I'll pick up a few. I like not wrestling with the bone. It's all I need, so Innie can drop me at the door while I run in.

PS: You can have a top sheet as soon as you can reach the top shelf in the linen closet.

Oh, I thought yesterday to double check my ham intake. I log every meal, and know daily totals, but never actually checked amount of ham per day. Two days ago it was 18.63 ounces, and yesterday was 15.94 ounces. That's the only thing I ate. That turns out to be a tad over 20 grams of ham per hour, over 48 hours. So if I'm ever unconscious for that long, see if they have some sort of 20g/h ham IV drip.
